i played it in VR first too (playing normal right now) and the proportions are mind blowing! freighters are freaking MASSIVE even your own is so fucking big.
No wonder they are excited to push the new updates. NMS community is VERY thankful for the updates. To the point to pay for a banner saying "thank you" in front of the office. It must be a pleasure to work on this game for such a great community. It's not like in any other games
As you state, not all games are for everybody. Note that mining is only a big deal at first, while later you make soo many units you just buy materials and go. But there is the beauty, the game lets you do what you like best (collect ships, run your settlement, explore planets etc) at your own pace. So some days I go in to collect ships, some days I just walk through a planet to explore, some days is to chase a pirate frigate.... I am glad I ran into it at this time when the game truly works.
I am a fairly new player, about 3 to 4 months, and already have multiple saves, I played these last two expeditions, etc... Some things to note: I love thee amount of parameters you can customize to make it the best experience for you. This ranks high on my desires for a game. Also is not noted often that all these upgrades and added content is free. None of this "buy all these DLCs to make the game better" thing. And at a discount regularly, if you figure the hours of play vs the price is a great deal.
To be honest it was playable on PC, the only thing I noticed was memory usage the more planets you visit and it crash. Simply restarting and it was fine. I had 80 hours. Then I returned in 2019 and 2022, 900 hours and still going ;-)
@@randywatson8347 It was playable, but not great. I always thought it was by system: at the time I had a 2500k and a 5700xt. Now, even on a much more powerful system, initial release still doesn't run smooth. Worlds though runs AMAZING.
The No Man’s Sky backlash actually got insane, but a lot of the memes were very funny. I’m glad he turned it around, maybe I’ll play it again some time
I need to hop back in, pre ordered it but havent played in the last couple years. the last update i played was when they redid the encomy and resources
It's amazing how the stuck at the game and made it something miles better, I still have to get around to it though, it's still sitting in the backlog like most my games!
@@davidhujik3422 Yeah it's sad, I was so excited for Starfield too. May cover it in the future to see if it's improved at all. Haven't touched since launch really.
@@JarboeGaming yeah same I wanted to get it on steam. Let's hope fable if it ever comes out is a great game I've got have to write Xbox off of it isn't.
I was there on day one when it launched and enjoyed it for the most part. It didn't live up to the trailers but I like base building/crafting games. I stuck around for the updates and then stopped playing after the living ship update. Haven't revisited it since. Other games to play. Looking forward to coming back to it someday and hoping they expand on everything in Light No Fire.
i play NMS since 2022 and only in VR, which is just a mindblowing experience, being 2400+ hours in now.
@@ProgrammistMusic That's some serious play time 🤯
Hope to try it in VR one day, seems like the perfect game for it

The same community they lied their ass off too

It's weird how on release there was almost nothing to do and now I have too many objectives in this game to handle them all at once
I’ve gotten back into this game and having so much fun I almost forgot how fun it can be to game

You are 100% correct. Never seen anything like it.

I still have the 1.0 disc for PlayStation that I bought dirt cheap from someone disappointed about the game. Best decision ever!

@@FriendsAndGamingYT It really is something special!
On PlayStation 4 it played like a dream day 1 same with pc. Its like xbox doesnt know how to make a console.
How bad is it that nms is in every way better then starfield? I mean it practically gift wrapped its self to starfield and they still fked it up lol

It really does feel like the game we thought we would get and then some.
No Man's Sky is the best space exploration video game.
Love the dbz music
The clickbait title aint necessary lol. while NMS' comeback is incredible, nothings beating FFXIV's.
Not to discredit NMS, of course.
