Ox Roast 2024 & Antiques Market | Mesopotamia, Ohio

Welcome to the 51st annual Mesopotamia Ox Roast & Antiques Market located at the Intersection of State Rt. 534 & 87 in scenic northeast Ohio. This local tradition has been a staple of this community for decades and features over 160 antique dealers! You can find just about everything at this event including: fine glass dishes, turn of the century tools, furniture, toys & of course their freshly prepared “world-famous” roast beef sandwiches. All proceeds support the Mesopotamia Fire Association.
Although I’ve lived in this region of Ohio for 27 years, this was my very first time at the event and I was very impressed with how many vendors were here. There are many food options as well including: baked Amish desserts, fresh cut fries, lemon shakes, hot italian sausage and more! Free parking is available at the Fire Station and general admission is also free. The Ox Roast typically takes place on 4th of July weekend.

Never tries Oxen before, I guess it would taste something like Beef. I wouldn't be scared of it. Did you try it? If so any good?

@@ynotcougar it was delicious, the texture reminded me of shredded beef chuck roast. It was a rich beef flavor and very tender. You would love it if you are a fan of regular roast beef.

Grew up in Mesopotamia. My dad was an integral part of the very first (51 yrs ago) Ox Roast! Amazing...loved growing up here! Such a rich heritage.
