Met Brett at huntstock NY. Real stand up guy, shook my hand and engaged in conversation as soon as I went to the booth. I am a logger in the southern tier of NY . The amount of bait piles I find would blow your mind... it's never been legal but there is no shame on these big " city hunter " owned leases

The number of MN, MO, and Illinois hunters that moved to Iowa just to deer hunt is nuts. When I hunted public this last yea I met more 1 or 2 year hunters from those states than any 10+ year resident. The resource is finite and the more deer that get killed will affect herds. Access is the issue. Not all of us can go hunt Bomars spare property

2:32:57 youre hunting big woods deer, there’s probably one thing that big woods deer absolutely will not pass up once they find it, besides acorns and beech nuts, and thats apples. Plant an acre or two off apples. You’ll have your deer magnet it’ll take years to get the trees to producing, but once they do, deer magnet!

Friend in newfoundland came here and saw my food plot and called it a deer garden. They grow cabbage and the moose take a bite out of each head. So they have moose gardens

Jared you also need to look into the CSP program. You can get compensation for burns, tree plantings, all sorts of stuff. You can put the plan together and do the work to get your dad money for the program to help offset any income your trying to take away from tilable. Most csp programs aren't nearly used and have way more funding. Takes more work than a crp program but it all helps.

Agree 1000% only thing I know we can do is vote for the governor, attend meetings even if the general consensus is they don’t listen, and donate to organizations we hope are fighting for us.

If I recall it was Friday the 13th. Quite a day and quite a story.

Joe denitto has quite the stat line for his deer. The average age of the bucks he is killing in the Adirondack mountians is 6.5 years old and he hunts an average of 5 or 6 days per year. Hes alot like Andy may in how efficient he has been year after year.

Here in brown county we're in clay dirt country and the crp programs pay more per acre than the cash rent for tilable pays. Look into it Jared, you can potentially get your dad more money payment for crp than he's getting rent. We got heck of better deals doin crp.

You should have Winke's son on. He killed a super giant young. Grew up in iowa on an amazing farm.

I wouldn't let them talk ya out of crp. Crp is the best cover and the deer that grow up around it will use it more than timber for cover. At least here they do.

Ban the cell cameras while you are at it..People need to learn how to hunt with woodsmanship..If you can't harvest a deer without bait or a cell camera then you dont need to call yourself a hunter.

If you guys are so against baiting, why do it yourselves in OH? Practice what you preach goes a long way.

As an Ohio resident who’s subjected to only hunting public. The cell cams need to go. If you think that’s a problem then you are the problem. Its not fair chase to have real time surveillance on deer movement
