Same. I also like Justin, and I think his full potential is yet to be seen, he's young and has time to grow. But as long as we have Russ, we should at least seem him play a game at least once.

@@dreebenny Taysum isn't a qb though. He's a swiss army knife with a little bit of throwing ability. Fields, for better or worse, is a qb. It isn't an apples to apples comparison to my mind. I think of the classic if you have 2 qbs you have none saying for this.

What if this curiosity of yours comes at the cost of losing Justin? Don't assume the experiment comes free of charge. You're dealing with people with big egos who strive to excel. Count your blessings at 4-2 with Justin as your QB that came at almost no cost. Most teams aren't that fortunate.

@@TroonRollo I did think of that. But then, Neither QB was here before. There isn't a long Steelers history of either. And both I think are, as they both have said, looking for team wins over anything. They both want to bring the best of what they can to the game. With the Steelers offense being a 'work in progress', it is not imho a bad thing to at least see how Russ does with that.of all weeks, this is the one to try. And Wilson is a no cost as much or even a bettr no cost that Fields. I do like Fields a lot, but given the state, meh, just for once try Russ.

15 games, 3070 yards, %66.4 comp, 28 TDs, 8 INTs, rating 98. Apparently this is what people think are the stats of a washed QB. Sean Payton got off the hook last season because everyone blamed Russ. Ok no Russ now in Denver, how's Paytons offense looking now. One of the worst in the league, if not the worst. Sean Payton has ironclad media protection, so none of them will bring this up, but it looks like Nate Hackett was terrible and Sean Payton was the washed one running an outdated offense.

He played fine for the broncos last year with no run game and limited weapons. Fields talen alone can make plays and win games but whats on the field is not an offense. We were also 4 and 2 laat year with pickett and it was all good until we started to lose with the same offense and it was fire oc every week. Had a top 10 offensive line & still couldn’t get the ball out fast enough. I think that the majority of Fields supporters don't believe in Russ. the difference is that Fields is 26 and has elite physical tools. He has gotten better every year and they would rather see how far he can grow. They also see a steelers oline that has been decimated by injuries and aren't very good right now. Broderick Jones has apparently forgotten how to pass block and the line very rarely generates any forward push on run plays. The skill positions are lackluster at best, and before the season started with Russ as the projected starter many analysts predicted the steelers would have one of the worst offenses in football. It's more of a lack of trust in Russ.

I think Justin fields has been doing great with his touchdown to interception ratio. However, I think it's time to give Russell Wilson a chance to reignite his hall of fame career that he had with Seattle. He did have a couple of bad years in Denver, although he significantly improved his second year with the Broncos. So I think something that steelers, fans aren't mentioning enough is what what if Russ is just as good as Fields? That might be wishful thinking on my part, but honestly, consider the fact that Russell Wilson could still have that magic in him that he had with the Seahawks. Definitely fingers crossed about his performance on Sunday night at home against the Jets.

Sorry Rich, but as a Steelers fan, I'm excited to see what Russ can do on Sunday. Fields has done nothing but impress me with the way he has handled the first 6 games. And his attitude; the guy is a class act! But he's also missing open receivers consistently. The TD pass that was called back where he threw into a crowd but had crossed the line of scrimmage, Austin was wide open in the corner right in front of Fields, but he didn't see him. I think Russ can open up the passing game, he may not have Fields athleticism but even Fields can't outrun the distance and speed the ball can travel. So are we really losing a lot with Russ instead of Fields. Let's see.

This Russell Wilson Slander is insane!!!!
Imagine working for a boss, that is working their hardest against you, because they didn't want you and don't like you, so they try everything in their power to sabotage you, but you're still having good production despite of it all, plus you're moving the company towards profiting, and right as you're going to hit the company in the green, he fires you.
This is what Russell Wilson went through with Sean Peyton his last year with the Broncos, and he still had 26 TDS, and only 8 interceptions, with his team in playoff contention, beating both the Bills Josh Allen and the Chiefs Patrick Mahomes, then was benched!
This narrative of Russell Wilson is so insane, idiotic and ridiculous!!!
And now since he had 3 bad seasons, he is playing his self out of the hall of game, when he had 9 great seasons, and from what I remember 9 is higher than 3 people.
People just don't like Russell Wilson because he is a good person who isn't overly aggressive and carries himself better than most humans, and that scares people to think, others have better character than them.
Russell Wilson is a hall of famer and should get the opportunity to start!!!

This crap about Russ being bad for 3 years is getting old. Rich is just repeating the BS that he heard from his buddy Sean Peyton. Maybe he should take a look at what Sean's offense has produced without Russ. James Merilatt, founder of Mile High Sports, says the Broncos would be 6-0 with Russ at QB. Maybe Russ will bomb. Who knows? The Steelers brought Russ in to take them to the playoffs and beyond and Mike T. is going to make sure he has his chance.

dude you are sooo so delusional & have no effing clue what you’re talking about i’m sorry, but it’s true. if you had watched ACTUAL FILM of his play last season then you’d understand that he was garbage. his stat line of 26 TD’s came off the back of the denver defense from all the turnovers they created & short fields he was gifted with. He barely could throw over 200 yards almost every game. He led the league in holding the ball too long which translated into being the 4th most sacked QB in the league. Had a top 10 offensive line, but caused his own sacks because he couldn’t make simple reads. This brain dead comment is getting old
