We saw how dotson was looking in preseason. Non existent and couldn’t block really well. And that’s against 2nd 3rd and 4th stringers.
Here are my choices: 1. Trade a (likely high) 2nd round pick for brandon aiyuk, pay him 25+ million dollars per year, have your team captain mclaurin feel disempowered in front of his teammates by paying an outsider who has never sweated for this organization more than him -or- 2. Keep your 2nd round pick, keep your 25 million dollars of cap space and lean on your GM and his staff to find the next brandon aiyuk in a future draft. I choose #2 and its an easy choice.
