Amazing? Are you out of your mind? It was a lackluster fight between two slow and overweight boxers, both of which were desperately lacking in technique, and cardio. Their footwork was absent. They were loading up on shots, and a lot of those shots were missing, wildly. They were exhausted after a mere 3 rounds. If you think either of these fighters are amazing, then you set yourself a low bar. 3 round Olympic fights are a tease, and that's the extent of Cammarelle boxing career. I have a hard time taking any fighter seriously, that also happens to be a full grown man beating up on young amateurs. He's basically a career amateur. That's one of the problems I see with boxing programs in countries with certain socialized sports, like Italy. It's that way in Cuba as well, but at least the Cubans know how to box. Moreover, the best of them make an effort to go pro, doing so at great risk. On the other hand, Robert Cammarelle could easily turn pro, with far less hurdles to jump. He could test himself his mettle in a 12 round fight, but instead, he going to gripe about a "robbery" which was actually much closer than he would like to admit.
I tried so hard to be impartial as an Englishman but those judges must have been terrified that they wouldn't leave the arena alive so they gave it to Joshua for the sake of their families. Cammarelle clearly won.

Having any sport decided by judges is asking for trouble whether amateur or professional. There will undoubtedly be human errors and corruption at times. Olympic boxing shouldnt be decided by people. It should be measured properly somehow and the one with the most landed punches wins, simple as that. Having said that I believe this fight was a very close call and could have gone either way. Joshua beat cammarelle the previous year in another close fight.
A robben victory like many in these olympics Boxing is often a discipline where the organizing country received 'free' medals The reaction of the GB trainers said it all. they were surprised by the gift
zebbedi Jealousy? ok...only british newspapers and commentators said that this was a victory for Joshua. All the rest of world and boxe experts replied that Cammarelle clearly won the fight.
Nobody cheated. Judges ruled. It was in 2012 UK, not early 80's cold war USSR or USA. Now if you want to talk about cheating at the olympics. Have a look at USA, China, Russia, Korea. Watch Roy jones in his olympic final and you will see real cheating.
Jason Chatto man is the same thing. They robbed Dhyskco, Savon and Cammarelle. Make the hooligan if you want. But you would have to listen what the AM boxers said all the times about these Olympic games (not only for this division)
Joshua well deserved to win , the trouble with the Olympics its only 3 round - Johsua would have stopped him on 6 in the real game mark my words on this date - he will be World heavyweight Champion in the next 3 years
Whenever you feel that this fight undermines Joshua's talent and potential, just remember that Roberto Cammarelle was an olympic medalist 4 years before Joshua ever walked into a boxing gym and put on his first pair of gloves. Consider also, that Joshua beat Cammarelle 1 year prior to this olympic bout as well at the WC. Speaks volumes for me.
Sorry for the long delay' seems strange that he would want to stay an amateur? not as much money an not as much prestige as aprofessional heavyweight :)
Even first round, dominant second by the italian and i think Joshua just edges the third. Overall the Italian was the better fighter but Joshua clearly showed a lot of raw potential, which is proven by the fact Joshua is now a world champion.
Dillian Whyte did a pretty good job. Even though Breazeale made it to round 7, he was more of a punching bag. I'd like to see him box against Deontay Wilder. Let's have that match first, and then we'll see if he's as good as most of us think he is.
Why is it when you talked to most people from around the world and Europe that watched this fight. All of them say Cammarelle won. Only the British say that Joshua won. But I have heard some British even admit that Joshua should have lost. The only way Cammarelle would have won is by ko
Amir khan would beat them both, and no Pakistanis and Indians don't look alike, they're genetically different proven by genetics, and go look up the facial differences between north and south Indians and then look up some Kashmiri photos on google, they look really different from Indian people, only some minor group of Indians have some resemblance to Pakistanis in the northern parts.

@@Genevasplaytime in England sure ...in every other part of the world win this medal.
AJ been doing wonders for years.
love how this is recommended after his win over pulev
Roberto Cammarelle Medaglia d'oro 2012
If this was pro match the Italian would have won. Olympic scoring system no good.
No he would not, because Joshua warmed into the fights as it went on. If it was a pro fight, Joshua would have KO'd him in the 5th or 6th.
+James Browne he is obviously talking about if this was a 3 round pro match. because he is comparing the scoring systems.
AJ would knock this italian out in the pro fights...Easily...where is this italian boxer now...he works in a sasauge factory in palermo.
telephonic And where are you now? Writing a comment in TH-cam, piece of shit😂
What an amazing sport Cammarelle was in defeat.
Joshua is the silver medalist of the Olympics.
AND THEN JOE JOYCE GOT ROBBED INSTEAD FOR GOLD IN 2016
Beating someone with way more experience than you is a crazy feat. Congratulations Aj
Whos here right before aj vs ruiz 2
A robben victory like many in these olympics
Boxing is often a discipline where the organizing country received 'free' medals
The reaction of the GB trainers said it all. they were surprised by the gift
mate you clearly dont watch much sports do you
Cammarelle is a great boxer. He was even a decent match to our Roman Romanchuk.
When u click on a Olympic video and somehow find the heavy weight champ
Amazing video
What's really ironic is this is actually more exciting than the professional heavyweight division.
Joshua won the last round, but he didn't win the fight.
If you think Joshua wasn't winning after the first round you are clueless about boxing and should stop trying to score.
zebbedi bullshit man. That was a rob. Nothing else.
Giulio Zoppello Your jealousy is getting the better of your judgement my friend.
zebbedi Jealousy? ok...only british newspapers and commentators said that this was a victory for Joshua. All the rest of world and boxe experts replied that Cammarelle clearly won the fight.
Giulio Zoppello You forgot the judges. None of which were British.
Anyone here after the Ruiz victory
Anyone here aftet riuz lost.
Fantastic starts for AJ
👊🇹🇿🇳🇬🇬🇧
Who else suddenly got this in there recommend 7 years later?
UK cheated....Camarelle beat that guy. I wonder how does that guy feel knowing he did not win fairly.
Was a clear win for Joshua.
how can the uk cheat???the four judges scoring the bout are from different countrys to the uk.
Nobody cheated. Judges ruled. It was in 2012 UK, not early 80's cold war USSR or USA. Now if you want to talk about cheating at the olympics. Have a look at USA, China, Russia, Korea. Watch Roy jones in his olympic final and you will see real cheating.
Jason Chatto Yes i remeber that fight! Nardiello and Jones were robbed!! jesus what a shame!
Jason Chatto man is the same thing. They robbed Dhyskco, Savon and Cammarelle. Make the hooligan if you want. But you would have to listen what the AM boxers said all the times about these Olympic games (not only for this division)
Joshua Wins? whereeeeeeeeeeeeee
16:07 Joshua's hand was raised before it was announced which corner had won
@Ross B no....Josh didn't raise his own hand..the ref raises it for him
Yes blatant home decision.
Femi lost against Savon in the London Olympics also.
So who else here end of 2020
2020 anyone?
After watching this several times now, I have to say Cammarelle won this fight for me. Very close, but Roberto just nicked it.
Joshua well deserved to win , the trouble with the Olympics its only 3 round - Johsua would have stopped him on 6 in the real game mark my words on this date - he will be World heavyweight Champion in the next 3 years
Joshua??? ?buahuuahhauhuahuahuahuahuahuuahhuauhahu XD XD
I think Joshua would have won over 6 rounds....but didnt win in 3 which was tactical. Cammarelle was robbed here
Laugh all you want but he will be champion and you will have egg on your face. You bitter little toad.
Paul Jones and now he's beaten klitscho haha
Whenever you feel that this fight undermines Joshua's talent and potential, just remember that Roberto Cammarelle was an olympic medalist 4 years before Joshua ever walked into a boxing gym and put on his first pair of gloves. Consider also, that Joshua beat Cammarelle 1 year prior to this olympic bout as well at the WC. Speaks volumes for me.
Rowan Williams i wonder Why Cammarelle never turned pro?
Sorry for the long delay' seems strange that he would want to stay an amateur? not as much money an not as much prestige as aprofessional heavyweight :)
He was robbed twice against mr.juice head!
who's here after the luiz jr fight?
I’m British and in my opinion the Italian defiantly won.

Even first round, dominant second by the italian and i think Joshua just edges the third. Overall the Italian was the better fighter but Joshua clearly showed a lot of raw potential, which is proven by the fact Joshua is now a world champion.
He's had 17 undefeated Pro fights so far, and he won all by knockout. That has to say something.
how on earth was that first round even?
he is all hype right now and will only be taken seriously when he stops figting other overweight out of shape gypsies, builders and taxi drivers!!!!!!
Dillian Whyte did a pretty good job. Even though Breazeale made it to round 7, he was more of a punching bag. I'd like to see him box against Deontay Wilder. Let's have that match first, and then we'll see if he's as good as most of us think he is.
It's not judged by rounds in amateur duh🙄
cammarelle was the winner
I'm fan of Joshua ,but this time i have to say he won my village and schoolmate Cammarelle.Ciao.
Remembered this performance live.
Very very close but AJ edged it on what seems cleaner shots from a solid base. No issues with that win. Solid basics for that weight IMO
I guess I’m the only one who believes that AJ rightfully won.
Who wants a rematch? 🤣🤣
Those who say Joshua lost really don't understand how boxing works
Respect to the Italian
This is a complete rip off .... it was already written
+Jo Dave joshua shouldn't have even made it past erislandy savon because savon won
No, this is not true. Cammarelle wan but not with a big difference. This allowed what it happened.
I'd like to see them fight again now
He still deserve fuckall gold medal...
are these Olympic Games or boxing mafia match?
pathetic decision, the italian was the winner, london mafia...
Olympic is about clean shot that is why he is improving every day with clean shot
I'm a Joshua fan but have never considered him an Olympic gold medalist- he clearly lost this bout and knew it too.
16:16 This Moment 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Casuals whenever they see a competetive fight;”ROBBERY”
IrontoughItalian `Joshua clearly won. End of conversation.
Lukas High no he didn't 'clearly win', you must not watch boxing. And don't write "end of conversation" as if everybody else is waiting for your input.
Rowan Williams
I'm first going to laugh at you. Then I am going to block you. You must be watching it in 144p if you can't see what the judges scored. This was not even remotely controversial.
Rowan Williams
Just checked out your profile. It is just you bitching and moaning about Anthony Joshua like you are obsessed with the guy. Get over your man crush.
They violated Joshua with that thumbnail loool
What a pop for Joshua
