Hello and Thank you for sharing this video! Question: Did you find the screws? What are they? I did what you told everyone not to do - stripped the screw heads. Quick Note to everyone planning to do this... these screws strip like they are made of butter! Toyota used the CRAPPIEST screws they could find and locked them into this mirror assy to make the day you need to remove them indelible in your memory. Use a microtorch to heat/melt the locktite and be prepared to drill them out.
@@historiaycuriosidades In my case, there is a broken gear inside the mirror assembly. Because the gearing is broken, the mirror cannot find its "home" position and this causes the motor to continuously wind (very annoying). This was my purpose to take the mirror apart. After finding out how difficult removing the screws turned out to be, I found a way to disconnect the power to the motor altogether (luckily, my mirror is in a good position to drive with and I am OK with not having the auto-folding mirrors). Now my driver's side mirror power has been disconnected, the motor no longer runs (!yay!), and I am fine with all of this. Perhaps you can do the same thing if you have the same problem.
Avi Edelson When mine broke I immediately disconnect the folding motor but from time to time the wind will move the mirror (a bit). Right now I manage to get the motor out and the broken gear. It’s s 23 teeth gear I found it in AliExpress. Hope this can help
How does it stop in its normal position when opened? Has a physical limit or is it electronically on the card. Mine took a hit while backing away and now upon opening it unfolds completely forward. I disarm it and find nothing broken.
@@maralynthomson4375 I couldn't determine it, I ended up buying the motor assembled by ebay, and it came out very economical and it has already been in operation for more than two years.
No Prob bro. I hope it helps you out. Be really careful with the 3 screws on the bottom they are the toughest part of the job.I still need to drill and tap 2 of the 3 because they broke off. an impact driver might be the best way to get these off without breaking them.

Same problem here. I’m still thinking how I’m going to take ANY of the three d@#& screw out. I’ve tried with screw extractor tool with no luck.

Screws are not PHILIPS but JIS (Japanese Industrial Standard). Use proper tool.
When reversing, my mirrors stop moving down. What do you think its going on?
What happen to the mirror at the right side finally?
