    I think it is real great these tech channels keep testing the newegg open box products. It was super easy for newegg to put out some press release and take all RMAs for a while. But they got to the point they were by dumping quality standards, history easily repeats itself. Thanks for keeping newegg honest.

      Newegg fucking blows.. they take stuff people send back and then you get it and it’s broke and when you send it back (the warranty doesn’t work) cause it’s open box or they decline it.. fuck that. Spend the extra 100-150 and buy the monitor new with full warranty from micro center where no questions are ever asked and they exchange or actually send things to get fixed when they are broke u set warranty

    I own this monitor, have for months, and was able to get rid of my laptop dock altogether. The usb-c does do trickle charging but I normally just plug my laptop charger in anyways. The monitor itself works great, and 97% of the time the KVM works well. The other 3% of the time, I just power cycle the monitor and it's fine again.

    I own this monitor, and can attest that it is a great monitor. 32" is the new 27" in my opinion. I haven't jockeyed with the OSD too much...and it was beautiful before I made tweaks to contrast, brightness, etc. Yes, $800 is a lot...but figure that price out over years of use. This monitor will serve well for years.

    Lots of great deals on open box stuff. I got a great acer predator x38 a year or so back for half price and only realized that the speakers didn't work and were loose inside after I had it upside down to move houses. Unfortunately acer was not helpful so I just have to be wary not to let that speaker bang around in there.

    Side note, thanks for talking about that KVM Wendell. I just got the LG 28mq780-b, it has a very similar KVM where it works with the USB-B and the type C as well. I'm doing research to see if there is such a thing as a type c to displayport cable that can go from the type C port in the monitor to DisplayPort in a computer/graphics card. I'm thinking there isn't one, and I'm reluctant to spend time and $44 to find out if there is.

    I am out of the monitor market. I have a ROG 27" 165hz 1440p IPS which works really well. When I upgraded my 48" SAMSUNG 4k TV to the Hisense 55U8G ($600 at Amazon), watching movies via Amazon Prime the upgrade was amazing. I plugged my PC into it and my ROG is back in its box. Yes, you really need a wall mount and soundbar (darn few TVs don't), but dang it sure is pretty. I do not have ANY of the tools you use for testing, just my eyes, mouse and keyboard. My eyes noticed the upgrade between the ASUS and SAMSUNG and the 55U8G. For current price of $600 (I got on sale about 8 months ago for $800), I think it is well worth looking at. P.S. Upcoming 2022 high end models are "supposed to have" mini-led and ATSC 3.0, so for me, a likely upgrade for my 65" SONY Bravia. Yes, I know, it's a TV not a monitor. $600 for 55" 4K TV which for me, works great as a monitor as well, I think price to performance should be considered.

      You can set the monitor to 120Hz like he said and things will go smoothly. I need At least 120Hz for video editing since I will be editing some action videos that can be at least 120fps or more and unfortunately the TWO 4k monitors I could find that are exactly 120Hz aren't that good, not even supported anymore and are stuck at 27 inches (both from Acer ConceptD series). I read many reviews about the ConceptD 4k panels and there are too many issues with dead pixels and other things that discouraged me from choosing one. Not to mention that they are no longer for sale on Acer's website store. I need a 30+ inch 4k monitor with a wide color gamut, 120Hz, fast enough response time for games and full bandwidth HDMI 2.1. I like Gigabyte and have had the M27Q which I liked but their current 4K options aren't what I need for my next build.

Last time I bought the 27"Gigabyte monitor from Best Buy I still have it I like it because both do 120fps on PS5 but this New Gigabyte Curved monitor is 4k and HDMI 2.1 and I never knew anything about fps or anything of this until last year dam I been missing out

    If I came in a curved screen then I'd snap one of these up in a second. Sadly, no curved.

    Amazing monitor, but I wish Apple played better with monitors that aren't branded Apple. As a dev that uses macOS and also enjoys gaming on Windows, this is madly annoying.

    I'm surprised the 5700g can drive 4K 144hz. My b550 mobo is only rated for up to 4k 60hz (despite having HDMI 2.1 and DP 1.4) and I assumed it was a bottleneck with the Vega iGPUs. Granted, I'm not Warren Buffett so the highest I've tried on my 5700g with the mobo is 2 4k60 displays and an old CRT over VGA.

    Am I the only one who wishes for a 24 inch 4K 144Hz monitor? It feels like hi-dpi has been painfully neglected on anything but macs.

      You're not lying. But then again there are people that need 4k for work and other things or just want to be informed and that's who this video is for.

    4k at 32inch is a bad yoke. It has to be minimum 5k, preferably 6. It's 2022 FFS.

      Enjoy those tiny icons on the screen then. Who even sells 5k and 6k weird resolutions besides Apple?

      @@gmaxsfoodfitness3035 have you heard of PPI & scaling?

    • @gmaxsfoodfitness3035
      @gmaxsfoodfitness3035 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@z00h TH-cam just notified me about your reply. And yeah I'm aware of PPI and scaling. I also personally had a 27" 1440p monitor and the icons were still a bit small for me. Apple has their 27" monitor in 4k so the icons are likely even smaller due to over double the pixels of 1440p but hey if it works for you go for it. Just sharing my opinion. Good day to you.
