Was wondering about the disappearance after you were robbed, oh I meant, bested in the Best YT Channel category @ Annapolis. Life being stranger than fiction was fully evident in the outboard motor sequence -- from dock to transom, you couldn't have scripted a more bizarre/hilarious sequence of events, one immediately following the other! Whomever is serving as Chief Editor for this episode, the post work on your channel gets better with every new episode -- from the musical soundtrack to some fantastic camera angles (ahem) especially during the fishing sequences, to just perfectly executed storyline overall, this channel is an absolute stand-out and you're both incredible storytellers! Love it! 🌊⛵☀💙✌

so, we didn't realize that was Aiyana from Sailing Naida with you at the boat show, Shelly recognized her but didn't know where from, we have been missing more videos from them and hope they're going to keep posting more.
Aiyana is an amazing friend and we can't thank her enough for coming along and helping us out as well as getting to talk to everyone as well. Unfortunately Dre and Aiyana went their separate ways, but you'll see Aiyana here and there on some other channels and she'll be joining us on the boat here and there as well!
Yall are awesome after my 6 stints and 9 more to go I will be back to doin that Patreon thing out of 5 Arteries 1 was completely blocked the last 4 only had 30% flow they fixed 1 right away 3 stints and 2 weeks later cleared out and put 3 stints in the completely blocked Artery. Had some complications right after that last one on 05Oct23 spent 4 days in the hospital after the stint placement was out patient. I can't catch a break til Friday when my daughter a avid sailor came to see me and my mom & dad for their anniversary. And now today Yall post a video that is so dang awesome that you two just roll with the punches and keep on keeping on!!!

@@SpearItAnimal How much does the dinghy block access to the back including filet table, swimming, aft to dock. Would you do a crossing with the dinghy up there, does it flog around much. Are the solar panels rain proof or no, particularly the helm areas. Is it comfortable walking up the side deck beside it. What do you do for visibility on the main. Have you been in heavy weather yet, particularly down wind I suppose. I love your hardtop, just curious about the finer details, good and bad. I think a lot of people would be interested, you don't see a hardtop on steroids like that very often but it makes sense. Love that you made sure you could do backflips off it lol, that's important.
@@danhofmann9713 you can walk/crouch under the dingy if you’re getting on the back for some reason but usually when it’s up the only time we’re ever ducking under is when someone comes over. While we’re in anchor it’s typically down…Aft to dock wouldn’t be great unless you were at a low floating dock because the panels hang out pretty far off the back and can block the dock. The panels have a 1/8th inch rubber gasket between them as well as silicone in the corners and are rainproof. We only ever sail and make crossings with the dingy on the davits. We ratchet strap it down and it doesn’t budget left to right at all. I lean over the side to check the main, also we adjust it at the winches I front of the Dodger so we can also look up through the using glass and see the sail. Walking along the side is easy. The pathway isn’t covered and the extra rail just below the fiberglass top acts as a great hand hold. We’ve been in 50knots a few times. Sailed in 40knots on the beam and it might make the boat heal a little bit but we compensate with an extra reef and usually that doesn’t affect our speed. We haven’t been hit with 50knots directly from the back or downwind. Probably 30 or so and once again the panels didn’t budge, shake, etc. it’s built solid. And we’re on anchor 99.9% of the time so we’re always facing the wind. I’ve got all the panels bolted together and also bolted to the frame. I think it could handle 50 knots from the back end no problem
@@SpearItAnimal Great answer, thanks. I think you got everything. There just isn't a perfect answer for the dinghy. I used to swim a fair bit while under way, you are trying to fish around it, you never know for sure when it's time to pull it up at night or if you are going to drink more beers and want a swim lol. Either way I bet you have dozens of people wanting you to build them one with old mate back in Florida in the off season. Only way to go, everything else is half assed.

Follow up on the hardtop needed. Dinghy, windage, access\articulation and sail management
It’s been awesome but our boat has a 16ft beam and is pretty stout. Can’t speak for other vessels but ours acts and performs like it’s not even there.
@@SpearItAnimal How much does the dinghy block access to the back including filet table, swimming, aft to dock. Would you do a crossing with the dinghy up there, does it flog around much. Are the solar panels rain proof or no, particularly the helm areas. Is it comfortable walking up the side deck beside it. What do you do for visibility on the main. Have you been in heavy weather yet, particularly down wind I suppose. I love your hardtop, just curious about the finer details, good and bad. I think a lot of people would be interested, you don't see a hardtop on steroids like that very often but it makes sense. Love that you made sure you could do backflips off it lol, that's important.
@@danhofmann9713 you can walk/crouch under the dingy if you’re getting on the back for some reason but usually when it’s up the only time we’re ever ducking under is when someone comes over. While we’re in anchor it’s typically down…Aft to dock wouldn’t be great unless you were at a low floating dock because the panels hang out pretty far off the back and can block the dock. The panels have a 1/8th inch rubber gasket between them as well as silicone in the corners and are rainproof. We only ever sail and make crossings with the dingy on the davits. We ratchet strap it down and it doesn’t budget left to right at all. I lean over the side to check the main, also we adjust it at the winches I front of the Dodger so we can also look up through the using glass and see the sail. Walking along the side is easy. The pathway isn’t covered and the extra rail just below the fiberglass top acts as a great hand hold. We’ve been in 50knots a few times. Sailed in 40knots on the beam and it might make the boat heal a little bit but we compensate with an extra reef and usually that doesn’t affect our speed. We haven’t been hit with 50knots directly from the back or downwind. Probably 30 or so and once again the panels didn’t budge, shake, etc. it’s built solid. And we’re on anchor 99.9% of the time so we’re always facing the wind. I’ve got all the panels bolted together and also bolted to the frame. I think it could handle 50 knots from the back end no problem
@@SpearItAnimal Great answer, thanks. I think you got everything. There just isn't a perfect answer for the dinghy. I used to swim a fair bit while under way, you are trying to fish around it, you never know for sure when it's time to pull it up at night or if you are going to drink more beers and want a swim lol. Either way I bet you have dozens of people wanting you to build them one with old mate back in Florida in the off season. Only way to go, everything else is half assed.
