There are a lot of requests for me to react to their live , and I have to admit you guys made me super curious!! So I might do a video on that ! Keep you all updated
There's a video on their channel in which they tell the story of all all this came to be. I must say, you're looking at this the way you should. No one can replace Chester, but at the end of the day, no one should. Linkin Park has always been about diversity. On one of their albums they even brought various artists to achieve that. And throughout their career, there have been songs in which there was only Mike. And people weren't complaining back then. Thank you for reacting to this, and I truly wish for you to get the chance to see them live, like I did back in 2012 in Bucharest.
Biss, first allow me to say my comment here is not meant to criticise you in any way. I simply need to pass on some very vital and SERIOUS information about the new singer you probably have no clue about. This woman ( I will NOT use her name) is a member of the family destroying human trafficking cult Scientology. That cult believes that mental health problems DO NOT EXIST and that even ATTEMPTING to seek treatment is totally EVIL. I feel like I KNOW how Chester would have reacted to that. This is reason enough for her to be nowhere near LP but isn't actually even CLOSE to the worst problem. She is also a close personal friend of convicted multiple r*pist Danny Masterson and even showed up in court to support him. She is also KNOWN to have put in considerable time and effort into harassing and attacking Danny's victims to prevent them reporting Danny's crimes to the authorities, and once that failed stepped up the intensity of her attacks on Danny's behalf, including being part of a mob who SURROUNDED AND ABUSED ONE OF THOSE VICTIMS IN THE COURTHOUSE ITSELF! How exactly do you think child S.A. survivor Chester would have responded to that. I'm really really sorry if I am hurting you by telling you this but there is NO WAY I could let this pass without passing on what I know. Please don't just believe me, do your own googling, and I would definitely recommend having a look at the Growing Up In Scientology YT channel which has several vids on this, from a lovely guy and EX Scientologist A-Aron who actually knows some of Danny's victims including the victim this BINT attacked in the court. Again so sorry to dump this on you but I hope you can at least appreciate why I did. Peace and love from a big fan here in Bonnie Scotland ❤🏴❤
I was listening to the live stream they had, I could tell that the drumming and the guitar were not quite right. When I looked I noticed they were different people, I was afraid both Brad and Rob were out, but I'm glad at least Brad is still with them. Best of luck to Rob in whatever he's doing though.
because most random fans dont know anyone except chester and mike, rest are "those other guys", its problem with most bands, lead singer is always face and sometimes songwritter/composer is praised too, rest are replacable
That's one of the reasons I think they chose Emily, someone "so different" from Chester. Obviously people don't forget Chester, but it's more a question of respect, of not replacing him with "a generic singer who imitates him"
Yes. She also really likes Nirvana, and there is a cover on her band's channel of the song "Heart-Shaped Box", which is very good. It seems to me that she brought a little Kurt's style to this song too, the faces and mouths and everything.
@@sadiporter2966 Even if she still is (which I doubt, since she explained this controversy in her story, and said she changes past opinions and people), it doesn't matter. Tom Cruise too, and you watch his movies. Nobody cares about her religion, but rather her art and the future of the band, and that Mike is happy.
I'm just excited for the renaissance that rock seems to be having lately. After stagnating for well over a decade now we've got old bands coming back, new bands breaking through, and a lot of killer new music.
Dude thank you for mentioning this. It was so bizarre. Rock was having a real good time in mainstream light from the mid-90's through maybe around 2010-ish and then in a few years it just fell off the map. It was so weird and felt really sudden.
I am supportive of them coming back. No, there will never be a replacing of Chester. Chester wasn't kicked out of the band to bring her in, he left us. It sucks, and it hurts, but it's true. They found someone who fits the band's style, and they are just moving on with a new chapter in the band's legacy. I enjoyed the song, and I think she's a great fit. I would love to see them live again, but I know ticketmaster is going to price gouge tickets into oblivion.
I already love this Emily girl. You should also watch the videos from the last concert that they're posting. She is really great. Colin, the new drummer, also seems like a really nice guy.
Love this song so much! Chester obviously can never truly be replaced, but I like what Emily brings to the band. And you should definitely check out the song Weatherman from her band Dead Sara.
Hello girl! I love your reactions, I haven't seen any from Christina Aguilera yet, I've been a fan of hers since 1999 when I was a child, she has an incredible voice and the lyrics to her songs are great, as well as some songs in Spanish. kisses from Brazil♥️
this song gives me nirvana - smells like teen spirit and guano apes - open your eyes vibes, and thats a good thing, mix of old LP too, well mike is still here and most songs from past is his work, so ofc we will have that style even after chester is gone
You'd have to be kinda stupid to think that none of the guys or wme had a discussion with emily and her beliefs before inviting her to join the band. That and she is an open lesbian which the church hates, was born into the church and she hasnt been seen at a church gala since 2013 people can and do change in 11 years. Quite right! The thing about great artists like Chester Bennington is they tend to respect and admire other artists because they know all the hard work that goes into being an artist, as opposed to all the keyboard haters.
I am very excited to hear the new album and hear more of Emily with the band. She sounds amazing and her and Mike sound great together. If u want to hear more Emily, check her other group called Dead Sara and the song "Weatherman". Love the reaction Biss!! ❤🤘🔥👏👏

I was at the Live In Texas live taping and Linkin Park is my favorite band. It's been 7 years since Chester passed, but I believe they found the right singer. She's coming in replacing one of the most irreplaceable singers of all time. I'm sad Rob isn't playing drums, but he did have a back injury last tour, and it sucks that Brad isn't touring with them, but I fully get there's so many emotions. If it's hard for the fans, just imagine how difficult it is for the band. Let's give her grace and time it's something Chester would want.
She's good! I think they went the right direction here, her voice fits, and she wrote a banger. I've had this song stuck in my head for days now. I haven't heard anything from her old band "Dead Sara", but I might have to look them up.
Only a few bands can explode again when their vocalist leaves, because the vocalist gives the group its identity. as a fan I hope the LP can explode again like before.. I like the vocal sound
This track was a good first step. Having watched the live debut, man what a thing to try and attempt. It’s hard to fathom for an average Joe like myself. Emotions running high and hard, then to try to pull off some of the classic vocal lines. This was the opener, the rest was previous material. You could tell at a couple points where she got winded, over produced, or just needed a moment to collect her instrument. She did great overall. She’s got phenomenal potential collaborating with this group, and the early signs are very good indeed. Thanks for sharing your thoughts! Side thought. The new LP logo is pretty fuzzy in appearance, far removed from the well defined lines and angles of previous versions. Before the concert, it didn’t make sense. Afterward, and that Zane interview, it did. I think Mike and the guys agreed to channel all their uncertainty and doubts and fears into that logo, while they took the leap to try and get back to the life they loved. They didn’t want to rebrand, but they knew this was going to require a huge perception shift. Paired with the new album title, “From Zero” (a nod to the bands name before it bake Linkin Park), it speaks to reiterating themselves again, almost from the ground up. Very smart.
In recent interviews, Mike Shinoda said that he doesn't really like when people say that Emily is filling Chester's shoes. So even the band recognizes that no one can replace Chester, and that's not what they're trying to do.
Great reaction to a great song! Emily has a strong voice and has great potential as the band moves forward! Looking forward to more from Linkin Park! Thanks Biss ❤️💛
No one can replicate the exact meaning, vocal sound and emotion of Chester's lyrics....but if one knows how to sing and scream with the same tendancies that Chester used, its a matter of skill, and one can do their best to do justice to Chester's parts....
I kind of hope that Biss follows this one up with a reaction to the live video of this song...to see how Emily can pull it off live...and then a reaction to "Numb" to see how Emily works within the construct of something that we all know/love. (I've already watched pretty much everything I can get my hands on...and I'm excited for the new chapter of Linkin Park.)
I am with you on going to see them live Biss! I never was able too before then with what happened I figured they would never tour again! Then, boom they are back and touring and I can't go cause the closest concert to me is in LA in a few weeks. (that's 3 states away from me)!!
Also Mike has talked about how he thinks Chester would have been excited by having the switch to a female lead. And how he would have been the first one pushing for it!
I noticed that, too- Mike’s voice intensified but then the whole song pulled back. Original. Choosing a new lead vocalist is very precarious for any band. Backlash may be nearly inevitable, but I try to be open-minded. If the surviving members are still productive then let them con’t to creative. I found her aggressive screams very convincing.
The thing that I appreciate the most is your honesty Biss! Now, talking about the song, I think Emily is a great singer, it fits the new song so well I like it, I don't hate her or something. That being said, I saw the concert they did online playing the old LP songs and I honestly feel that she did an amazing job to the extend of her ability because she have impossible shoes to fill. Nevertheless, something was missing for me. Chester was not only the vocalist + composer, to me he was THE VOICE of LP just like James Hetfield with Metallica, Jari with Wintersun, Tom Araya with Slayer, etc and without that, sounds very different even if the song is in the same style of LP (which is obvious because they are the same guys haha). I totally agree and happy that the guys want to continue doing music but I don't understand why they didn't change the name because I personally think that people would have taken it better or have more support than what they already have and avoid a lot of backlash. For example, the guitar player and drummer from Slayer continue some years later but with another name after Tom Araya (bass player+vocalist) retired. Their new songs actually sound like Slayer plus when they play live, they also play Slayer songs because those are also their songs and nobody is complaining. I see people happy to hear those songs live, same case with Alexi Laiho (RIP) with his new band Bodom After Midnight so...but well, it's just my opinion. I wish the best to the guys.
This is THE Dead Sara... And lit me advice you "The Weatherman" IMHO - This song is literally about fans reaction to her coming to LP, Where she gave up Dead Sara Solo-Path to sing, and play, and dance with the great ones.. and ppl around just... being them'f***ng'selves
Check the Livestream Video, she also did the old Songs also good. There were some voice cracks in, but who could be mad. Imagine how big the pressure was, knowing there are people that would hate you, just because you are not the person they want you to be. But she has that raspy voice, she is not a replacment for Chester and not something to compare (something what would have happend even worse with every male singer). So I can say: I already love Emily and see you in Hamburg in two weeks ;)
Linkin Park is on a rebirth i love Emily's voice its deep it's gritty & raspy Chester wouldve wanted them to continue on im proud of them & can't wait to see them in concert one day I'd definitely go to a concert wit u Biss!!! Keep rocking girl ur absolutely beautiful & have a wonderful day ❤💕❣️🖤
I enjoyed the song quite a bit and your reaction. Curious what she'll sound like on some of their older stuff, but it certainly sounds like she's got the right kind of voice for it.
Hello Bisscute, at the outset I want to say that it seemed very strange to me that you have not reacted to the live version, it is more emotional. On the other hand, it seems to me to be a very intelligent move by Linkin Park to have chosen a female voice as a vocalist, since if it had been a man the comparisons with Chester Bennington would never end, and for me the best thing is to start from scratch. Emily Armstrong is an American singer and songwriter, lead vocalist of the alternative rock band Dead Sara. As you could see, Emili has a powerful and harsh voice, capable of going from soft melodies to heartbreaking screams. I think Armstrong brings a new dynamic to the band's sound, fusing his intense and emotional style with the alternative and electronic approach characteristic of Linkin Park in their new era. I liked The Emptiness Machine, because it explores deep themes of identity, pain and betrayal, and the sounds and instruments combine very well, to create an intense and dynamic atmosphere, characteristic of the new era of Linkin Park. Greetings and a hug from Mexico City.
The album name From Zero is actually a throwback to what the original name of the band was going to be. As far as a vocalist search, there was alot of speculation about Amy Lee from Evanescence or Lzzy Hale from Halestorm were potential candidates but I don't believe either one was confirmed. The new album comes out November 15th and Emily Armstrong, the new co-vocalist, is originally from a band called Dead Sarah that have actually been around for quite a while. I look forward to hearing more from them when the album drops.
Not was going to be, was. The original band name was Xero then changed to Hybrid theory, then Chester joined, then the record label made them change names again due to a band named Hybrid, so along came LP
You should really really react to songs on their live TH-cam show! It’s on their TH-cam channel in the ‘live’ tab. They did old songs like one step closer! Faint! and she was very impressive! Please react to the old songs live show!!
@@robertchapman4488 dude pls go take your bs somewhere else. The whole band was crying at multiple points in the show, as Mike said in an interview recently. Stfu and go do better fing hater.
@@ryanstockley9495 Hey has 3 teenage kids, doesnt need money and in his 40's. I dont blame him for not wanting to go back on the road. Maybe he will join them sometime down the road once the kids have left the nest.
Bisscute you absolutely nailed it ✊ everything you said, you get it. Not really sure anything needs to be explained haha you pretty much got it. Emily's not a replacement, she's going to do her own thing. She's unfortunately getting backlash, that's sadly not unexpected, but I think they'll be fine down the road. Alice in Chains went through the same thing when they announced a new singer ( William Duvall ), their albums have been amazing though, and like Emily, William does his own thing and it still FEELS like Alice in Chains. Emily's involvement still FEELS like Linkin Park. Layne Staley and Chester Bennington can never be replaced, and the new singers have never tried to replace them. As bands, they need to evolve and move on, which they have. The people really angry will eventually get over it. It seems like the majority "get it", and the ones saying it's a sellout or "not Linkin Park" are a vocal minority.
So far I think she does ok/ good on some of the covers of the old songs but She does really good on the new songs.( Excited to see most of the crew back 😃)
Bisscute we need to see you react to her singing the Linkin Park songs, they do have a livestream of their debut with Emily. I'm excited and happy for the band to be active again. Honor Chester's art and legacy, RIP
There are a few videos of Emily doing LP songs from a performance this past Friday. She'll be fine. The band said they weren't looking for a replacement, but someone to make music with.
It's not a replacement it's evolution. Look at Jinjer, not one member is an original member and now they are more successful than the original band ever imagined.
I am like you where LP is my ultimate favorite band of all time! I know they would get backlash due to having a replacement and yet of course others who will pull the “Why a woman?!” To that I say, yes LP will always be great and I understand where they’re coming from but for me I would have liked them to kept LP and create a new band. But I understand that the band wants to keep the legacy going and I respect it. For a band they tend to change their sounds and Mike has said it’s not as inspiring as to do the same sound everytime. So for and as musicians, changing the sounds and music helps them. I will still listen to them and I will be excited for them as a band. Also, to see Rob not the drummer anymore also adds more salt to the wounds. I wish Rob the best and I wish the band the best and success to come with the new direction and I will still be a fan and continue to listen to them!
I agree with your thoughts, I'm happy for them for trying new stuff, but I do have to say, as you said it, she has some BIG shoes to fill when singing the old songs specially, I can't imagine her singing "Given Up" for example with that 30 second scream Chester did, the sound of those songs will inevitably change with her singing live, I just hope it's not too bad, but I am looking forward for the new songs that she can make completely her own in a way
Oh, you should check From Zero show. You will hear more of her screams. She had a few bad moments during the show, but it was because of emotions and nervousness. Especially during Waiting for the End. At special lines she just started crying and can't sing it, she tried but... Mike sang to help her, but you should see it yourself. It was not that visible during liveshow, because cameras was not closeup that much, but Mike said it during interview. And she's probably hate him for telling this in interview.
Well hallelujah , Linkin Park are back in action ! Great. And with a banger old school sound. Welcome Emily Armstrong to the band I wanna say first and to the new drummer also. He's beast . Love the drumming parts , so powerful. And dang, Emily , chill outa little, girl , you are a true fury ! Love her raspiness and distortion. Great choice for the band. Love to LP. Badass song.

Thank you
Good comeback. And, that raspiness is present to perform ( if they want) some old songs. And yes you should see their live performance. :)
love Emily, loved the live stream, love this song
Great reaction to a great song! Emily has a strong voice and has great potential as the band moves forward! Looking forward to more from Linkin Park! Thanks Biss ❤️💛
Thank you
Linkin Park is Back
We all know Chester cant Not replaced
This is a new beginning
I give her a fair chance
No one can replicate the exact meaning, vocal sound and emotion of Chester's lyrics....but if one knows how to sing and scream with the same tendancies that Chester used, its a matter of skill, and one can do their best to do justice to Chester's parts....
Can't think of it as a replacement, instead consider it a moving forward for the rest. I'm excited for new music from the band.
New era this band, she is very good for me... this song is good, thx for reaction...
I was waiting for this!
And lit me advice you "The Weatherman"
IMHO - This song is literally about fans reaction to her coming to LP, Where she gave up Dead Sara Solo-Path to sing, and play, and dance with the great ones.. and ppl around just... being them'f***ng'selves
She did a good numb in the live show. You'll love it.
I think Emily is a great fit for LP. Chester would be happy to welcome her in to the family.
Linkin Park is on a rebirth i love Emily's voice its deep it's gritty & raspy Chester wouldve wanted them to continue on im proud of them & can't wait to see them in concert one day I'd definitely go to a concert wit u Biss!!! Keep rocking girl ur absolutely beautiful & have a wonderful day ❤💕❣️🖤
Thank you
@@BisscuteReacts yw Biss we may not know each other but we will always share a love of music 💕💕💕
'Lemon Scent' and 'Weatherman' are good songs to start with Emily Armstrong and her band Dead Sara.
I enjoyed the song quite a bit and your reaction. Curious what she'll sound like on some of their older stuff, but it certainly sounds like she's got the right kind of voice for it.
Thank you
@@BisscuteReacts You are welcome!
Now you can see them live
Someone has probably suggested it, but Emily sang with "Dead Sara" for years. Maybe check out "Weatherman."
I like new LP singer. Emily is a good fit in Linkin Park. That new song is great. I hear it all the time in my head. ❤❤
I will
There's a 1 hour live stream of their concert on their youtube channel with Emily singing their LP songs.. You can stream it live your reaction there
She probably shouldn't listen to that because the Linkin Park song she sang she butchered
@@robertchapman4488 dude pls go take your bs somewhere else. The whole band was crying at multiple points in the show, as Mike said in an interview recently.
Stfu and go do better fing hater.
@@robertchapman4488 na, it was pretty good honestly, the longer it went, the better she was.
Confused about the Brad touring situation though tbh
Emily Armstrong & there's a new drummer too
So far I think she does ok/ good on some of the covers of the old songs but She does really good on the new songs.( Excited to see most of the crew back 😃)
Her name is Emily Armstrong
She’s carrying the torch in her own right. Chester would be proud 😭
Raspythingythingy...love it..
I’m always here for Biss’s technical breakdown of songs 😁
This was a Linkin Park song. Chester didn't kill the band. I love it!
Bisscute we need to see you react to her singing the Linkin Park songs, they do have a livestream of their debut with Emily. I'm excited and happy for the band to be active again. Honor Chester's art and legacy, RIP
Maybe in the future
I want to see how she goes about holding a note amongst other things
Im so excited for new Linkin park new era ❤
And I'm buying to Emily & Colin new member of Lp
Im following linkin park since 2001
There are a few videos of Emily doing LP songs from a performance this past Friday. She'll be fine. The band said they weren't looking for a replacement, but someone to make music with.
It's not a replacement it's evolution. Look at Jinjer, not one member is an original member and now they are more successful than the original band ever imagined.
You should really check out "Heavy Is The Crown", it reminds me a lot of LP's style of the earlier albums. :)
Really liking this song
Overall I like it and think she has an excellent voice.
I'm so excited for this new chapter moving forward with Emily
A old fan and happy to be moving on and I wanted a female to be part of the band long ago.
Her voice Rocks! Great new sound.
She's amazing
I like this crazy blondie she`s strong voice. Linkin park is back!!!
I agree with your thoughts, I'm happy for them for trying new stuff, but I do have to say, as you said it, she has some BIG shoes to fill when singing the old songs specially, I can't imagine her singing "Given Up" for example with that 30 second scream Chester did, the sound of those songs will inevitably change with her singing live, I just hope it's not too bad, but I am looking forward for the new songs that she can make completely her own in a way
3:24 it be like that when you try to pause in your favorite song 😂😂😂
Colin and Emily are great, we have a bright fututre ahead of us ❤
Oh, you should check From Zero show.
