Gelir dağılımı bizdeki kadar bozuk değil, üstleri başları düzgün ve temiz. Bizdeki kadar dilenci, çöpten bir şeyler toplayan gariban yok. Sakin, güvenli, kavga gürültü yok, denizi, havası temiz. Anlayacağınız bizden daha iyi şartlarda ve daha mutlu yaşıyorlar. Oranın şartlarını belirleyenler belli ki bizdeki gibi ayak takımı değil, daha kültürlü insalar.

I am 41 years old, born and grown up in Germany. I would never hate greek people, we were more than family in germany as neighbours door to door. I know that they wouldn‘t hate us also. When my parents came to Germany 50 years ago our greek neighbours gave them so many things like spoons and different things for daily use. So please be kind to each other❤

Why do we need Neighbors?
The answer is simple
Neighbors are the people who can positively affect the most important aspects of our lives, laying the foundation for better health, increased safety, and among other things.
There is a proverb in Turkish:
“Komşu komşunun külüne muhtaçtır”
Meaning the neighbor needs the ashes of the neighbor, emphasizing the importance of cooperation and solidarity. The expression "ash" in this proverb means that even the slightest help will improve neighborly relations.
The way there prices change is a golden opportunity to overprice forighn people..

Many Turks actually have no issue with Greece and we understand that. However a big chunk of the turkish population doesn't really approve of it and the Turkish government doesn't help either. So a lot of Greeks have this in mind that being friendly towards a nation that actively works against you and questions your sovereignty is suicidal. And I have a lot of turks saying that we learn to hate Turks from a young age and pushing propaganda in schools is just faulse completely the other way around. I just can't really help myself of feeling empathy towards a nation that commited genocide on my people years ago and still threatening us with war until this day. Some times countries have to hate each other and stay enemies. Except if turkey suddenly change mind wich I don't really think it's possible
My friend, in history includes a lot of pain. I am coming from Izmir and my father side is coming from Crete from beginning of the Turkish Greek war. The modern Turkiye people does not want to war anymore because I think that a lot of people came from Turkiye to Greece at the same time. Politicians are feeding up this war policy because of the hide their corruption and condemn of the poorness their citizens. We were living to together approximately 1000 years, if i mistake, please being me correct. Of course both of country have some crazy people as like neo ottomans and megali idea. I believe that, supporting peace and brotherhood more than fascist. In my case, how I can be enemy Greeks and Turks because I am half Turk and half Greek. Both of them is it my part. I am really love my motherland, it means Turkey 🇹🇷 but how i can regret my Greek part🇬🇷. In my opinion, we shouldn’t give permission who is want to creating between us any enemies. We have a lot of cultural connection. You can believe that me, I never lived any discrimination about my ethnic both country. Every summer, I am having been Greece and I have a lot of friends in islands. Sometimes we are meeting in Izmir for drink Raki sometimes Chios and also other islands for drink Ouzo 😃.

Ben Mersinliyim ve Mersinde son 30 yıl içerisinde bur çok köy ismi değiştirildi. Bunların arasında öz Türkçe ve hangi dilde olduğu bilinmeyen, muhtemelen Luviceden bozulma ismi olan köyler de var. Gerçekten anlaşılmaz bir durum.

Come on there are over 120,000 Turks in Greece today but only about 2000 mostly elderly Greeks in Turkey because the Turks did not respect the Treaty of Lausanne to not harm the over 100,000 Greeks of Istanbul Imvros and Tenedos while the Greeks respected the Treaty not to harm the Turks of Thrace.

Greeks in Constantinople were native to their homeland and peaceful. 2- Pogrom is organized by deep state of Turkey, not by Turkish neighbours of Rum of İstanbul (the ones you call as ''Turk-offsprings, baptized in yoghurt etc). It was indeed a terrible event.
3- Pogrom happened in a short period, but let's not forget that between 1950 to 1975, around 100.000 Turk of Greece lost their citizenship for ''staying in Turkey more than a month''. Greek goverment implemented such law and this was their long term pogrom plan to cleanse Eastern Thrace.
4- Also, Turks of Greece still around doesn't mean all the problems are solved or they are treated equally. Greece is not a secular state and unfortunately state sponsored discrimination of Turks, Jewish and other minorities still go on. There are a lot of examples of it only in last 20 years. Greece is an area with muslim population since late 13th century and yet they could open a supermarket looking mosque out of Athens even after Iceland did. In fact there were already 5 historical mosques in Greece for that use. 4 is completely destroyed only between 1821-22 and one left is turned into ''Greek Folk Museum''.
5- Turks of Greece were not harrassed during WW2 because unlike Rum of Turkey, they helped Greek state, they did not hit anyone from behind. Not to mention, as Metaxas later mentioned, Greek army got heavily assisted by Turks against Nazis, and two humanitarian ships were also sent by Turkey to save starving people of Athens/Thessaloniki under Nazi occupation.

I have learnt from him directly how the schools giving education about love and hate subjects, additionally, at the army how they got trained, all against to Turks.
We both were shocked.
He is from Athens.
His family was defensive to our relationship at first but over the years they saw what is the reality actually and surprised how many things are the same in both culture.
I love them so much and I know they love me too.
My husband feels so happy and comfortable in Turkey, he has been visiting many times now, has many Turkish friends.
