  • A beautiful stroll along the Usk Valley Walk! This was actually filmed back in July but I've only just got round to uploading it! I got my inspiration again from Daniel Start's book 'Wild Swimming'. We parked up at the National Trust Clytha Riverside Car Park and walked along until we found a suitable spot to take a dip. The weather was so lovely that I ended jumping back in the river further south! Does it still count as a double dip if it's the same river?? Susu was having a whale of a time! I think you can see the genuine happiness on my face when I realise that she's swimming behind me. This was actually the first time Susu has joined me in the water and it definitely hasn't been the last!
I would love to go back again and actually walk the rest of the Usk Valley Walk because it seriously is so beautiful!

Nice one Ruth - good to see you in the water. I've been in the Wye recently to. Nothing beats it. All the best. Mark

Hi, I was wondering if you know any good swimming spots in the rivers in southwales that’s deep enough to scuba dive, I dive popular swimming spots looking for lost valuables old relics coins etc.. with underwater metal detector. Iv watched your videos on here and thought I would ask as you visit different areas. I’m from the Caerphilly area. Cheers andrew

Oh cool! I don't know of any I'm afraid! I'm actually terrified of deep water so I don't tend to swim in areas unless I can touch the floor.
