Armed forces exercise held in India--
1. The 7th India-France joint military exercise, "Exercise SHAKTI 2024," concluded at Umroi, Meghalaya, held biennially alternating between India and France.
2. The India-Malaysia maritime exercise, Exercise Samudra Laksamana 2024, was held off the coast of Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.
3. The third edition of the Bilateral Tri-Service Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) Amphibious Exercise between India and the United States of America (USA), known as "Exercise Tiger Triumph - 24," was held in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.
Three important portals launched by the Indian government
1. Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw launched the 'Chakshu' facility on the Sanchar Saathi portal to report fraud calls, messages.
2. The Government of India launched the 'SWATI' Portal in New Delhi to represent Indian women and girls in STEMM(Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and Medicine) fields.
3. PM Modi virtually launched the PM-SURAJ portal, aimed at providing credit support to entrepreneurs from disadvantaged sections of society.
Important species named after Indian personalities/organization
1. Researchers have named a new species of deep-sea isopod, Brucethoa isro, found off the coast of Kollam in Kerala, in honor of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).
2. A new species of head-shield sea slug was discovered by researchers from the Zoological Survey of India. It has been named 'Melanochlamys Droupadi' in honor of President Droupadi Murmu.
3. In honor of the Chandrayaan-3 moon mission, scientists have named a marine tardigrade species discovered off the southeast coast of Tamil Nadu as Batillipes chandrayaani

Armed forces excercise held in India:
1)On May 7, 2024, the Ambala, Haryana- based Kharga Corps, under the Indian Army (IA)'s Western Command, and the Indian Air Force (IAF) concluded "Gagan Strike-ll", a 3day Joint Exercise across multiple locations in Punjab.
2) 7th India-France joint military“Exercise shakti 2024”on 13th May, 2024 at Umroi, Meghalaya
3)12th edition of the Multilateral Naval Exercise-2024 "MILAN24",hosted by India, on 19th Feb 2024 in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh (AP).
4)"Exercise Tiger Triumph - 24", the 3rd edition of the Bilateral Tri-Service
Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) Amphibious Exercise between India and USA was on 18th Mar 2024 in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh (AP).
Portals:
1)The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and the National Internet Exchange of India (NIXI) launched the "BhashaNet portal" to advance the vision of digital inclusion.
2)Anurag Thakur, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB), launched 4 transformative portals to modernise India's media industry in Delhi. The 4 portals are,
• Press Sewa Portal;
• Transparent, Empanelment, Media Planning, and eBilling System (TEMPEST)
• NaViGate (National Video Gateway) Bharat portal; and
• National Register for Local Cable Operators (LCOS).
3)On 26 Apr 2024, The Department of Pension and Pensioners Welfare (DoPPW) under the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions, launched the "Integrated Pensioners Portal of Bank of India".
Species named after Indian personalities or organisation:
1) Researchers from the Zoological Survey of India (ZSI) have identified a new species of head-shield sea slug 'Melanochlamys Droupadi' along the coasts of Odisha and West Bengal. The species is named after Droupadi Murmu, the 15th President of India.
2)'Emblica chakrabartyi' from Adichilthotti,Kerala. The new species is named after "Tapas Chakrabarty", former scientist at the Botanical Survey of India (BSI).
3)New species of marine tardigrade "Batillipes Chandrayaani", named after the Chandrayaan-3, in Mandapam Coast, Ramanathapuram, Tamil Nadu.
