Hi, I'm Katie and I may plan a bit differently from others. I am neurodivergent and planning around chronic illnesses, so I write in pencil and leave things very flexible. I also misspeak and misspell a lot due to auditory processing and dyslexia. I use tarot and oracle cards to help me navigate my upcoming week along with a separate vertical life planner, work planner, and daily journal. I also love to do tiny tidies around the home in unique ways that work for my brain and energy.

That's such an amazing idea about changing one's bday! My wonderful grandpa that was like a dad to me, was a war veteran from a country where he didn't agree with what he had to fight for. He got heavily injured, and the day he finally made it home became what he called his "re-birthday." Which he always celebrated by inviting his entire family to a restaurant and the kids to a fun park. Because of his injury, he couldn't participate in the rides, but he really shared in our joy and we spent so many happy re-birthdays with him. I miss him dearly but he taught me so many things, he'll never be absent from my life. ❤️
Yes!!! I love this so much! A re-birth into a new state of life is worth celebrating with others. I would love to hear about more people doing it. Your loved ones want to celebrate with you this way when you too. Much like a milestone or something hard you endured. Thanks so much for sharing. 💕
My birthday is in the fall but where I live it's usually at that turning point where the colors start to come in but the days are still comfortably warm and sunny. I love all the season, but I especially used to love fall as the academic year started, full of new possibilities and encounters and, at the same time, nature was winding down and reveling in the lingering warmth before going to sleep. 🥰 But 2 years ago my mom passed away literally the day before my birthday, so I spent the actual day of traveling through the continent teary eyed, rushing while knowing no one was waiting for me there anymore... A real nightmare, 2 weeks after losing my MIL. That changed everything. I'm now trying to wrestle my fall back from grief, because it's truly a season I love. Your spreads are so pretty, I find that painting and photographing nature scenes really helps.😊
So sorry to hear about those losses. It can really change how you view that time of year significantly. I lost my father around those warm fall days and still remember the funeral being so sunny and warm yet in early October. It’s a stunning time of year and both can be true. Beauty and grief. My birthday is in December and while I enjoy winter and celebrating during the festive period, my favourite month is October so I wouldn't mind moving my birthday to this month :D Creates a bit of distance between the day and Christmas too, which would be nice.
Yes! I have heard from many whose birthday is in December that they would love to have some space separate from the holidays. 💕
