Fishing is a bit slow or in sacramento right now. Might have more chances in the delta or like rio Vista or sherman island. For striper that is. In sacramento, only pave of really recommend right now is Barge canal access. Has some blue gill, bass, striper , and cat fish.
Maybe next striper video I make. But I been using my 907 phenix cicadas. Medium heavy moderate action. With shimano thunnus 6000. 2nd rod is ugly stik catfish rod. 8feet medium heavy with Penn Fierce 4 6000 size.
What size hook do you use? I just got back from striper fishing but only small very undersized stripers were biting. I used a 4/0 hook with bloodworms.
from 4/0 to 7/0. Bigger bloodworm, I use bigger hook. I just hate hooking up smaller fish, so I use bigger hook if I can. I haven't been out for a week, but everyone saying it's slowing down a bit, but the fish are alot bigger now. Use to catch a bunch of 18 to 20. But now 25 to 28 is more common. And some big ones. Fish are more spread out now.
They usually last a weak and still good if kept in the fridge. If I know I'm going out in a day or two and I know it'll be sold out, I'll buy it a few days ahead of time.
Yup. I only tried sardines early in the season with no luck. But now that there are alot of fish in the system, sardine and anchovies should be hitting.
If you don't mind walking a bit, i would recommend going to Broderick boat launch. You can all either direction. Or go to Garcia bend. Map quest or Google those two spots. These spots are more sandy and less snag. The bite slowed down a bit. But bigger fish are caught now. Think most fish are more up towards knights landing
🤣🤣true. Ain't no place hot spot on sac river. Cars are always packed. It's all about finding a spot. But still, if I can, I rather make a video not next to other ppl. Some of the places I know have more action, but don't want to make videos there. Lol
Soon for sure. Seen ppl catching some here and there. Maybe wait til it's hot hot in like 2 or 3 more weeks. Might go on a boat this weekend. So might try it out a bit..
The fish and they way they bite are changing. The warm weather means they are going to be more actively eating hence jerkbaits become way more effective than worms or cut bait.
Nice catch. I want that kind of of spot. Just me and my family. So that I can’t get snagged to others. Just that I don’t time to look for kind of spot and Im always fishing with my wife and kids.
If you're talking about these area I'm fishing, It's about 1 mile from Freeport bait shop. If you watch my previous video with thumbnail that says "location revealed*. I fished these area all the time. Most these spots I fish don't really snag.
New fisherman with the 12-year-old we fish on land we’re from Vallejo and we’d like to know where in Sacramento could we go fishing? Thank you.

Nice catch! Only question I have is where do you find your bait their always sold out lol
You don’t have to use blood and pile worms you can use sardines and anchovies iv been successful this year with just sardines
