Hi Samay, yes you will be able to install Mac OS. Not everything might work for you, everyone’s hardware is different, so you can’t be sure if everything will work for you right off the install. If you some things don’t work after you install, you can try to fix each of them one by one manually. Also you can delete the entire macOS and reinstall windows anytime, just make sure you have a windows installation thumb drive handy.

Hi, you can install it on your computer but I’m not sure if it will work or not. I don’t use Xcode so I don’t know how it would regularly perform. Although, I have heard that you need to have a more recent version of Catalina than 10.15 for Xcode to work. But first just try and install it and if it goes well and Xcode isn’t working, then you can update your hackintosh in system preferences, which I don’t really recommend you do because you could run into errors later. I have updated my hack before and it worked fine but it all comes down to each persons specific computer.

If you dual boot, that is to have both windows and macOS installed on separate drives or on two different partitions on a single drive, you can still be able to boot in whatever OS you have installed.

VICTOR EJIOFOR you can format and install macOS on your already existing windows hard drive in disk utility when you boot from your usb installation disk. But once you do so, there is no going back as your windows os and files will be gone. So backup your data to be safe.
VICTOR EJIOFOR maybe you didn’t set your bios settings properly. Go into your bios and make sure that legacy mode is turned off and then turn on uefi mode, also disable secure boot if your bios has that option. Then under device boot order, you can set your usb drive to boot first or you can boot manually from it by selecting the drive from wish you want to boot from when you turn on your computer(different laptops have different ways of doing so). But even after you try everything and it’s still blank, try flashing the Catalina dmg file to your usb drive again.

It depends, older systems may not be as compatible as newer ones with newer processors, but you can try it to see if it works for you. Just be careful and make backups.

Go Reinell If you want to keep your existing files and everything intact, I don’t think that’s really possible as you’d have to update it from your system preferences, which isn’t a good idea because somethings can go wrong and your system could be bricked. So only do that if you are willing to risk losing your files. However, the other way I know would be to install Catalina as I did in this video, which is wiping your drive and installing the OS afresh. Those are the only ways I think and know how to upgrade to a different version of MacOS.

Wow... sorry about that. Do you have a windows 10 install setup on a USB drive? And also, did you partition your hard drive to install macOS. I advise you to install windows on another drive. Windows and macOS don’t go together and sometimes they can corrupt each other. Albert Owusu Thank you! I guess you’re also having the same problem some people have asked me about. It shows some lines of code after trying to boot from install Niresh Catalina but some lines of code run and it fails. I really don’t know what may cause it but from what I’ve seen it may be because of some issues you need to correct like: 1) making sure the date/time in your bios is correct 2) being connected to the internet via Ethernet if you can 3) rewriting the Catalina dmg file to your usb flash drive 4) turning off fast boot or the hibernate feature if you have it turned enabled in windows 5) turning off secure boot and legacy mode in your bios It could be a number of things, these are just some things I’ve seen people with this issue talk about on the internet. It might also be your cpu maybe isn’t compatible with Catalina, maybe try installing Mojave or the older versions.

That’s why I said if you want to always boot into the clover boot menu, you should set your boot order settings in your bios to boot the drive you installed Mac OS first. Also in the clover boot menu, you have the option of booting from your Mac OS drive or from your other OS drive, example, Windows

Ok, if your bios is similar to mine, go to the system configuration tab and select boot options. Then look for the legacy boot option and disable it. You’d be able to set your UEFI Boot order settings there. Then to select them in order, use the f5 or f6 keys (f5 to go up & f6 to go down) to move the boot options in the order you that you want. Many HP laptops have similar bios, so if yours is similar you should be able to do the same. However, if you don’t have a HP laptop, you can always google how to access boot settings for your particular bios on google.

Go Reinell If you want to keep your existing files and everything intact, I don’t think that’s really possible as you’d have to update it from your system preferences, which isn’t a good idea because somethings can go wrong and your system could be bricked. So only do that if you are willing to risk losing your files. However, the other way I know would be to install Catalina as I did in this video, which is wiping your drive and installing the OS afresh. Those are the only ways I think and know how to upgrade to a different version of MacOS.

Wow... sorry about that. Do you have a windows 10 install setup on a USB drive? And also, did you partition your hard drive to install macOS. I advise you to install windows on another drive. Windows and macOS don’t go together and sometimes they can corrupt each other.

Albert Owusu Thank you! I guess you’re also having the same problem some people have asked me about. It shows some lines of code after trying to boot from install Niresh Catalina but some lines of code run and it fails.
I really don’t know what may cause it but from what I’ve seen it may be because of some issues you need to correct like:
1) making sure the date/time in your bios is correct
2) being connected to the internet via Ethernet if you can
3) rewriting the Catalina dmg file to your usb flash drive
4) turning off fast boot or the hibernate feature if you have it turned enabled in windows
5) turning off secure boot and legacy mode in your bios
It could be a number of things, these are just some things I’ve seen people with this issue talk about on the internet.
It might also be your cpu maybe isn’t compatible with Catalina, maybe try installing Mojave or the older versions.

ankit gupta no, you don’t have to. That’s why I said if you want to always boot into the clover boot menu, you should set your boot order settings in your bios to boot the drive you installed Mac OS first.
Also in the clover boot menu, you have the option of booting from your Mac OS drive or from your other OS drive, example, Windows

Ok, if your bios is similar to mine, go to the system configuration tab and select boot options.
Then look for the legacy boot option and disable it. You’d be able to set your UEFI Boot order settings there.
Then to select them in order, use the f5 or f6 keys (f5 to go up & f6 to go down) to move the boot options in the order you that you want.
Many HP laptops have similar bios, so if yours is similar you should be able to do the same. However, if you don’t have a HP laptop, you can always google how to access boot settings for your particular bios on google.
