I have been wanting to recreate this beautiful Euro-Disco/Italo-Disco music for a long time and I finally managed to make it come true!! I loved "Love Spy" of 1986 ever since I heard it for the first time (along with other great Mike Mareen songs from the 80s like "Agent Of Liberty" and "Dancing in the Dark", but also the 70s). As is often the case, for many songs/soundtracks there is no information available on what the composers used to create these music. It is not the first time that I have relied on intuition, experience and in particular my ear to try to understand with what and how to recreate all the sounds of this track. I worked hard on each sound to try and make my version as authentic as possible. In the end I was very happy with the final result and I hope you enjoy watching this video :)
You can hear the sound of the CS1x (preset 105_Jupiter) at minute 0:15 and at minute 0:48.
My tribute is inspired by this version: • Love Spy
Unfortunately there is no official video of the 1986 song (there is only the one created for the version "Love Spy - Reloaded 2004"), but a user here on TH-cam uploaded the video with the original track of "Love Spy" and the result is great!! A little curiosity: in the video you can see 2 fantastic synths... a Roland JP-8000 and a Yamaha CS6x.

@user-gi5on5ey4m Я понимаю что ты имеешь в виду. Я также использую множество виртуальных синтезаторов (также бесплатных, таких как Dexed, доступный на «Plugins4Free»). Вероятно, каждый музыкант неосознанно использует свой способ и слух для выравнивания, настройки/выбора эффектов и т. д. Я создаю все с ухом (я никогда не узнал теорию музыки и всегда играл только с ухом). Для создания этих трибьютов я использую «Reaper», интуитивно понятную, мощную и универсальную программу. Мой CS1x всегда полезен для меня для создания звуков для этой классики ( я также сделал видео на нем th-cam.com/video/hvClPvoxags/w-d-xo.html ). ФАНТАСТИКА!! Я видел несколько видео на ПОЛИВОКС и на Том 1501... замечательные аналоговые синтезаторы с очень горячим и ярким звуком. Вам повезло, что у вас есть эти замечательные произведения музыкальной истории!

Ты настолько грамотно работаешь, что просто магия... Я в своей работе часто использую Dune2 и 3. И ещё я обожаю Zero - G Nostalgia. Там есть классный звук. Elka (Elca?) Syntex? Вроде правильно написал.. Там звук - laser harp. Я его слышал у Жан - Мишель Жарра. И у группы Melotron. Если не ошибаюсь, они из Германии. А я использую на своей лазерной арфе. Даааа... Есть у меня.. Цветная. На 8,10 и 12 лучей. Как куплю хорошую видео камеру, я тебе обязательно покажу. Арфа на Атмега 128, полностью самодельная.

Oh man, I love Italo Disco! I grew up in the middle of nowhere, Pennsylvania but my best friend and I discovered Italo Disco through TH-cam back in the day, and let me tell you- the weird looks we'd get for blasting Mike Mareen and Koto from our cars in 2009 were priceless!
IT'S AMAZING TO KNOW THIS!!!!!!! The Italo Disco has incredible power and there is no better way to listen to it at full volume (even in the car)!!! Other classic masterpieces to listen to in this way are "Vampires" by Radiorama, "Magic Fly" by Space, "Laser" by Laser, "Supernature" by Cerrone... and the list goes on and on!!! What fantastic pieces they created in those days!!!! Thanks again man, for sharing this with me and all other good music lovers :) :) :)

How are your covers THIS good? So many use a sound that’s vaguely in the right area, but yours are so close to the original it’s ridiculous. And I thought there was no way you’d include the brass like sound, as it’s so unusual but what you use is so close. Kudos.

I had a couple of Mike Mareen's 12" singles back in the day when I was a DJ. Very mixable. Great job on this like all the others.
