We can observe a flat non-rotating Earth in this video that you posted in this thread. But it looks like you were using a fish eye lens camera. 2D makes 3D and 3D cannot be flattened into 2D maps because 3D is derived from 2D. Aeronautical charts use true north for their reference point which is considered an Azimuth map. Azimuth uses true north, magnetic north, and grid etc.
Yes, it's a huge amount of CO2 produced by this type of long haul flight: that's why I try to compensate the emission and contribute to cut off the carbon dioxide in other ways.

Thank you. It was pretty full indeed. QF flies four times a week (if memory serves me right). Once they introduce 787-9, they'll fly daily.
