I found out it's only because of (die intentionally) lowering difficulty. Oh well, it's built into the game mechanics, so I suppose that means it's allowed.
@@nheff5833 the disappointment is relatable i've done any% glitchless normal mode in november but it sucks and its 14 hours lol and its not even uploaded anywhere because im lazy
@@Pixiuchu I played the game the normal way, and it took me 60 hours. I did every quest and got basically everything. So Kudos for beating it in 14 hours without "dieing to lower difficulty".
Oh, Nintendo... allowing "would you like to try at an easier difficulty" option... and, then, it being allowed in speedruns (because it's built into the game). I guess that's Nintendo's fault. Crazy thing, is that, even with this option... the "speed run" is still at 9 hours. Kudos to Nintendo for making this great game bug free, so no glitches to exploit (unlike the new Zelda game). Thanks for the video and the speedrun!
"No glitches to exploit" This video exploits glitches to save at the very least an hour. Also a 9 hour "speedrun" is still a speedrun, no quotations needed.
Man too bad you didn't use the faster Bomb Derby strats, maybe I should make a video on that... Also mad respect! Under 10 hours is way shorter than I expected.
I beat the game today and it's actually pretty good! But!.. I assume everybody watching this video has beat the game so... I think that the point from discovering reclusa (looking for the bonds) thill the actually fight with reclusa (all the time you spend follow him through the "mushroom kingdom") was a no needed filler, you could go from fighting zokette to preparing for the fight against reclusa and it could have been the peefect ending, but looking for the bonds was sooooooo boring.
We had that already in PiT, and kind of in SSS and DT so I think it's actually quite refreshing to not immediately fight the true villain of the game. The bond collecting could have been done better, I agree, but the concept alone was great. The execution was still good though
