What separates the child protagonists of Bond's literature from the literature of other English authors is that they are more sorted, matured and responsible. Perhaps that's what makes Bond the most lovable author among children and adults alike
He has been my childhood idol. I spent my childhood in Dehra and I loved writing in English. I wanted to live a life like him when I grew up. Recently I visited Landour, I stood there at the staircase to his house. It was like a pilgrimage, only I could not muster the courage to go up the stairs and meet him in person! Thank you so very much for these episodes!!
Couldn't be more excited to see my favourite writer on the channel he's a part of my childhood and so do his stories have a special place in my heart 🥺❤️
I love Ruskin Bond and their short stories. In class 12th I read their a very famous short story "The Eyes Have It" this story is mind blowing. In this story, Bond describe how a young men and girl hides their own blindness through the short story. They travel in a train compartment and talking about their own destinations and describes their views about visit the hills at Mussoorie and the story is on and on . In the end of the story, We saw that the narrator realize that the girl is completely blind. Both of them hides their blindness and the narrator play a guessing game what it was like outside. And the girl departed at saharanpur Station and we saw that the narrator once again play a guessing game with another traveling companion. Ruskin Bond is one of my favorite English Writer and one of the greatest short story writer of all time.
Would have been more wonderful if it had been a little longer. But one thing I want to put in here that how much respect you give them especially the way you sit with straight back plus how politely you talk to them. Really good and this also shows how one should interview a man like Great Ruskin Bond.
The names Bond...Ruskin and non - rusting 😀 Have your sausage ..with the bread Take a book 📚...as a spread. Then the body is without fear and the spirits are held high.🌈
In third grade, I had the privilege of being able to interact with him in school. Such an affable person. Also, great video once again. Keep it up, The English Nut.
I really enjoyed your talks with Ruskin bond whom I like very much. I have almost all of his books. Here I would like to add that dolie (please ignore the spelling) is not an urdu word. Very commonly spoken urdu word used to be Nemat khana which would translate as 'a box for or a box of goodies'. Now we don't hear it as the 'goodies 'are kept in the fridge. Stay blessed english nut
So happy to share that I have this Dolie which is as old as 70 yrs, even now in my kitchen and as you said I call it a "meat shelf", though I am pure vegetarian!!! 😄😄😄
Lovely listening to both #TheLegend and #The LegendInMaking....as in the era of #Netizens social media platforms r more popular than yesteryears when people used to rely on books n Journals for spending their leisure tym with. I like the posture you carry #TheEnglishNut....inspiring n adorable @ d same tym. 🙂
can you please tell me about the signed. like I saw the website but cant understand will it be orioginal signed along with a note from R Bond?? and is there any referral code?
@@TheEnglishNutYou need not be sorry at all. I respect both of you, when you take interview of someone, specially when he is non other than Mr. Bond, my expectation and thrust never satiates.

Doolie is a Hindi word. We still have one in our home... The explanation of a doolie as given by Ruskin Bond is very accurate.
