Theres few things that look more exciting to play through then a really clean build like that. I'm to the point I can build pretty much anything but I can only get things looking clean after building the same thing a couple times. Like for example if I build a harmonic tremolo for the first time my layout will be great but as soon as i start the off board wiring things quickly progress into a birds nest. Any tips on how to get things so clean. I'm guess you wire up everything once it's already installed onto the chassis? Also that point to point stuff looks killer. I love that. Especially when someone's taken the time to heat shrink all the leaded components that aren't grounds etc. Anyways seeing builds like this really inspires me to improve my off board wiring and to start doing some builds point to point maybe with turret board to get some practice in. Again sounds great and looks flawless. Great job brother!
the wiring of filaments is highly discutable in terms of noise.. I would use the fender twisting method and not the rail one even if the rails are more sexy
My Charvel employee parts guitar (purple burst, pictured). SD '59 in the bridge, and an old SD Antiquity Strat (A2) in the neck position. The mic setup was...my iPhone. :-)
It sounds very good. But is this the crunch channel? It is not really hi gain. I would like to hear a very hi gain sample. Witg headphones I hear some aliasing in the last seconds probably youtube compression. This builder did a good job.
Great sounds! I played a real SLO once and didn't hear what all the hype was about? Now if it would have sounded like the amp in your clip....that would have been something! lol. So what's the scoop with this amp? Thanks, enjoyed your clips and playing for a while now.
It is just an incredibly clean build by a talented guy, into which I put very good preamp tables. I'm playing through my Scumback-equipped Bogner 1x12s, which I think sound fantastic. Thanks for the compliment on my playing - always nice to hear/read.
You sure found a stellar C3 specimen to work with. It's a beautiful build for sure! Many SLO owners say good sound and feel doesn't happen without high volume.....Is that the case with the C3 SLO? I'm a big fan of "refined clones" I bought a Metro-amp Superbass kit 8 years ago and had Friedman load it with mods. Since it already had the same Metro trannys & parts the "Marsha 100" was using around 2010, It's basically a "Marsha" with more mods, lol. I'm sure I would love this C3 setup. Reminds me of my Ecstacy 101A w/6L6 transformer........kinda lives in that Naylor, Soldano, Rectifier, world.
This was played at a conversational level. You have a 101A? So cool, I think the 20th Anniversary XTC (with 6L6s) is one of the best-sounding amps ever made.
That’s how you do grounding!!! Amazing build! Amazing tones. Super quiet!!!!
Very nice build sir, also beautiful guitar playing as well! Congratulations on a job well planned and executed!
Looks and sounds great. Nice job!
Love those strain relief /shield terminations, super swanky, stealing that!
Sounds great.

Very cleannnn
This build is cleaner that a dentist's office

Doesn't make a difference. This amp is super quiet and twisted pairs on the AC filaments won't make it any more quiet.
Awesome job!! Great sound. Can you share a link for the project and parts? thanks
I didn’t do the build. I just appreciated it and bought the amp. 🙂
Google "FourT6and2 SLO clone".
Can you share where you got those awesome knobs for the pots?
Death capacitors! Right on!
Awesome sound and slick playing!!!! What miking setup did you use there, and guitar and pickups, if I may ask??

Did you build this from a kit? Let me know where you picked it up, if you don't mind.

morellas georgios it is both the crunch and the lead channel
wow

@@JayRoc17 customized Friedman BE100, this SLOclone, and some other less boutiquey stuff.
Watch olas review of the slo 30 head, you'll change your tune, lmao, just don't use shit speakers or earphones.
Who is the builder?
California guy who stays kinda anonymous but he’s known on the various forums.
what reverb is this?
Wampler Ethereal
Sounds exactly like a marshall with an overly drastic low pass filter removing too much fizz. Oh yeah, they also painted the inside of the chassis...
It is an SLO circuit. Kinda far removed from a Marshall. A little JCM800 crossed with a MKII maybe.
