Great upgrade video! I did that same speaker upgrade to my Astro City, I honestly didn't notice a big difference. My guess is if I changed out the amplifier I would notice more of a change. I just like the idea of having better speakers in the cab though... I have considered replacing the marquee like you did now that people make reproductions. But, It looks like the repro you used has a larger gap between the speakers and the surrounding black piece? You are not supposed to see white around the speaker grills, and they should be flush with the marquee I think. I do love your update and upgrade videos though, so you'll always get a thumbs up from me! keep up the good content! I'm looking forward to the video about the amp.
But a small suggestion on future episodes of Podukin.. A deep dive on the histories of pinball companies.. WILLIAMS ELECTRONICS DATA EAST STERN GOTTLIEB.. Just an idea I'm throwing out there.
@@sinetwo astro city is mono because that is the JAMMA standard and that is the way it was wired, but you can make it stereo for games that support it if you provide your own amp (or if you get a power supply that has a built-in amp, like some of the “New Astro City” models)
Was it you stumbled on the Burger Time arcade game. Weird story but true.. I lived in the place that I'm living right now for 12 years.. And my landlord owns a lot of properties including a storage area with a lot of semi trailers.. It's been behind my property that have been renting for over 12 years.. Ok long story short.. He lost that open storage area and the people who now own it.. was pulling out. Junk cars really a lot of random s***.. But until they started moving out the semi trailers. They were moving out the contents of that trailer storage shed.. Remind you I just got off work and oh look people are pulling out stuff from that trailer.. Arcade cabinet galore.. joust donkey Kong berserk super off-road. And weirdly a blue Burger Time cabinet.. it was definitely Burger Time with those rounded shapes on the edges of the cabinet.. dead giveaway.. I really want to get into the hobby of arcade games and Pinball machines collecting.. But really I was so close and didn't even realize it.. My heart was sinking I was so close but didn't realize it.. I mean really how do you talk to your landlord hey do you have arcade games and Pinball machines and not make it awkward and weird.. It's almost like a big giant tease without payoff.. for a future arcade enthusiasts.

But those z5500 are 8 ohm impedence, all sega stereo amp just use 4 ohm speakers wich become 8ohm when are connected in series for mono jamma audio
