Since the memory stick will be powered by HUB it will not drain energy from port 2 hence work without any problem. Downsides? Still only one port free (fine for solo gamers), more cables, 2 chargers running: one powering your PSXC and another your hub - but it works :)
Hey everyone! After successfully installing Project Eris, I was having severe system start up issues. Either the ps Classic would shut down moments after start up, or it would just completely bypass Eris and start up as if my usb thumb drive wasn’t even plugged in. It turns out that it was the power supply I was using, which makes total sense. I was initially using an old iPhone charger, but the moment I plugged the power into the USB outlets of my power strip, I haven’t had a single issue. Specifically, I have it plugged into a “2.4 WATT TOTAL” usb slot. Just thought I’d share if anyone else was having the same issue :)

I have tried reflashing using the guide but it has the same result, any ideas?
If you want to rename your cue/bin files you have to open the cue file with notepad and change the name of the bin file listed in there to the new name of your bin file... You can do it but It's a pain your better of just picking a good name from the start and sticking to it.
I got to the Project eris screen. While doing the backup it failed apparently turned off, i (Probably dumb idea) i turned it back on, Then it installed everything else shown at 10:40 & went back off. Should i continue or get a different USB & start all over? Turning it back on just brings eris screen, red light & goes back off.
Try reformat your USB drive and follow my BleemSync uninstall tutorial, although the same steps can be slightly adjusted for Project Eris. Once reverted back to all stock it would be worth trying again.

You mentioned we could delete games on the console itself. Does this only apply to games we've added, or can we delete factory/stock games that we don't want to make room for more of our own? Thanks again!
By default, only the games added. If you wish to make internal modifications, there's several written guides out there which detail how to do it. I personally don't do any of those.
its very easy to delete default games, go into retroarch and look for a menu called games. highlight the game and press remove. all this is happening on the playstation classic.

But i did noticed that some games don't work properly or have fps drops. Others work perfect with no issues. I have the latest autobleem/retroarch. But im wondering if if ahould leave it with the stock settings or if there are stuff we can change to make more games playable.
i ran into another issue. when i go into my PS1 games list in project eris with my wheel of games. it only shows the default Classic games. All my downloaded games are black squares. they are shown there but when i click on a hgame, it just flickers and doesnt load the game.

First my USB 3.2 pendrive didn't work. I bought a mobile phone charger that capable of 5V 3.0A (max 18W) to power my console. Now USB 3.2 drive is working with my ps classic. I think what type of USB drive working for this, is depending on the power source. If your ps has a good power source USB 3.X is workig without powered usb hub.
Informative video. Well done 👏
Does PS1 MINI also include Games by BBC Multimedia such as "Play with the Teletubbies" or "The Weakest Link"?
You'd have to add them yourself as shown in this tutorial.
Upgraded to eris from bleemsync. All upgraded fine, retroarch and emulation station work but when i click project eris it loads to a small blue screen saying "failed to load data - error code: 001-001" Then i have to power down. I have tried reflashing using the guide but it has the same result, any ideas?
OMG!!! Thank you!!! Thank you thank you thank you!
You're welcome!
He has a "Scratch" and "Data" hard drive. This guy is definitely also a programmer. We can smell our own kind.
LMAOOOOOOOO, I appreciate it, but I'm definitely not a programmer.
Great Video... Thanks man
No problem!
If you want to rename your cue/bin files you have to open the cue file with notepad and change the name of the bin file listed in there to the new name of your bin file... You can do it but It's a pain your better of just picking a good name from the start and sticking to it.
Very true. Rip it right the first time!
Great video.. Can I mix PS1, PS2, AND SUPER NINTENDO.. ect all in the "transfer" folder together. ???
Trying this now!
Dude this works perfectly. Thank you very much for your tutorial. Can you recommend something for better graphics and stuff?
I use RetroArch, I don't tweak anything further aside from using a scanlines overlay for a few titles.
Great video. Do you have a video on how to get 4 controllers working on Eris? I am trying to play bomber man party edition with 4 ps classic controllers but it doesnt seem to work.
@mrmario is there "warpath jurassic park"?
You mentioned we could delete games on the console itself.
Does this only apply to games we've added, or can we delete factory/stock games that we don't want to make room for more of our own?
Thanks again!
By default, only the games added. If you wish to make internal modifications, there's several written guides out there which detail how to do it. I personally don't do any of those.
its very easy to delete default games, go into retroarch and look for a menu called games. highlight the game and press remove. all this is happening on the playstation classic.
@@wiktornowak8970 thanks!
Hiya, how do i transfer games without a disk drive? was hoping to see instructions how to use Eris to add games not from personal Cd's?
HEy man great video, very helpful but how do i load multi track games onto the usb? Games like tomb raider 2 have many bins.
I gonna do this just so I can play Resident Evil 2 :)
does this play Dreamcast games?
MAN OH MAN!!!! many thanks for this beauty tutorial!! Full explanatory point to point, step by step!! I just have a question, i used a kingston DTI 2GB and works great but i dont have almost any room for more than 2/3 games, if i grab a bigger GB one, can i just copy/paste this pendrive to the new one?!?
Yep!
@@MrMario2011 ok thanks for the help and again thanks for the tutorial my friend!!! Have a good 2022 👍
Thanks for the tutorial man
You're welcome!
Any great tip for better graphics using this ?
good video fam re did mine using this video and hack instead of the others bleem sync ect
I followed everything you did to a T and used another hard drive with an OTG cable. but once I connected the OTG cable and a hard drive, the PS1 Classic booted up with the stock startup screen and stock menu. What happened?
You're awesome!
You are!
After putting all the project eris files onto my hard drive then going to the PlayStation 1 classic and inserting it in the controller 2 port My PlayStation classic boots up as normal. PLEASE HELP
@HeedArmy83 I got it to work. I legit just kept on deleting the files and redownloading then it ended up working
Same here, Im using one USB that I did the Bleemsync with (worked fine) and a 256 GB that seemed to work fine until I plug it in to the psc the second time, now its like it cant read the damn thing.. This is trash that only works for some....
My PS3 all PS1 game full working bin and cue file very nice work
It's a good PS1
What i want to know is what are the best settings for Autobleem/Retroarch. I have 4 Terabyte on my PS classic. And i have the entire PS1 library.
Can someone help me out. This isn't working for me. I even got a usb confirmed to be compatible and it's still not working.
You got it to work yet ?
The second time I plug in the USB (named SONY and formated it to ExFAT) I just get a black screen. Im on a Mac doing this but I followed every step closely. Such a disapointment!
Yeah. It turns out that I just had to plug it into the 1stplayer slot. Apparently my second player slot wasn't strong enough
@@theinterloper98 Ok, well that worked for me to but only so far, only in the first phase not the second. I ordered the OTG cable, hope that will help.
So can you play with the controller in port 2 ?
Driving me crazy. I get to stage of project eris fully working on exfat, but as soon as I add any roms to flash drive, it then goes straight back to ps classic on boot. 😩
how to modify or build a psx game with custom audio track files?
I follow the instructions but didnt work, im using 64gb usb card is maybe that the issue? Thanks in advance for any reply
Yep, very picky with USB drives.
