AZ has better ergonomics and design. The strat has nostalgia and heritage. Both are great instruments.
Thanks for the video. I guess it's just preference at the end of the day. I've had a couple of strats, and I just prefer the neck on the az over the strat. The body is a bit lighter, feels a bit more comfortable, and has easier access to the upper frets. I also like the twang of the Hyperion pickups that I have in my 2204 prestige.
For me, Ibanez AZ
Wow! It's a good comparison with these 2 models. But i prefer the ibanez AZ for the balance tone. This is great for alternative rock music genre
A matter of individual preference, fender gives more bright and clear tone while Ibanez gives more muddy tone.
I l❤ve Ibanez 👍👍
Thanks for this one Andy, especially pertinent for me.
Why is that? Do you have either guitar or are you thinking about buying one?
@@AndyHillier precisely choosing between these two at the moment! Leaning more towards the ibanez now thanks.
I like the ibanez
Fender tone every day
Great video, keep going you're doing great
Thank you so much!
Nice comparison thanks!
What about the neck width on Ibanez? Can someone with smaller hands play the low E string with his pinky? For example if I wanna play c shape or g shape chords or maybe triads on the higher strings is the Ibanez neck easier? I have a Tele and I’m struggling :)
The Ibanez will likely be a little better. I have two Ibanez, A different AZ model and an AZS and I find the necks to be a bit smaller overall than my Fender. They still feel pretty similar to a Fender, just without as much material on the back of the neck and possibly a bit narrower across the fretboard?
Nice thank you ;)
Personally, I like Ibanez more. But I think It is only a subjetive point of view. I don't like the design form of the headstock so classic in Fender, same as Yamaha pacifica. I have an Ibanez Gio, that I chose as a begginner, and I feel confortable with It, I find the sound beautiful in Ibanez and I like the design more. But I have to confess that my eyes always fly to semihollow bodies in the shops, but did not get sure enough to buy one, maybe in some years I will get one.
really cool watch!
Thanks. Do you think I should do more content like this? My videos don’t get many views so I think I need to change it up a bit.
@@AndyHillier it’s hard to say with the TH-cam algorithm. I had a look through your recent uploads and it seems unsurprisingly two of your best are the Fallout theme and the Hozier too sweet song, both were and are incredibly popular so I suppose staying up to date with recent media trends and popular songs seems pretty important, as you are able to get high quality tutorials out for them fast
I studied some of this stuff in uni when I built a website and changing up can also be detrimental so as long as you don’t stray too far from your current consistency - I think guitar enthusiasts love this kind of content but I have to wonder how much of your audience actually are in that category, and how many are just people that came to learn a few popular songs?
I remember for example when the last of us 2 came out you seemed to have a surge in popularity as people were really desperate for tutorials and you made them all really accessible and understandable. I know it seems obvious but perhaps some rebranding could help, thumbnails, font choice, banner art etc?
i 'm an Ibanez superfan, but I prefer the sound of the Fender. The Seymour Duncan JB is FANTASTIC.
Ibanez rules.
Can you do tuyo please
Oddly, the Ibanez sounds twangier.
