My First Penang Hill Solo Hiking - Bat Cave Trail [vlogging]

This is my first solo hiking to Penang Hill using the popular and easy trail - Bat Cave Trail.
Ideally, next time I need to reach early at the station as the later you start to hike, the sun will kill you.
Tips: Buy the ticket before 8am to enjoy 50% discount or just RM3 for Malaysian. Need to use your own identification card during the purchase process.
This trail is normal and nothing challenging, quite suitable to everyone especially you're just a beginner.
Besides, please check the weather the day before to confirm the condition of the trail.
Disclaimer: I highly recommend please hike with a group for safety reason.

Yup, the trail is considered one of the most common popular hiking trails to Penang Hill. So, you can able to see many hikers along the journey.

Did youu mean we can buy ride down ticket earlier at the ground area first with discount rate?

Yes, can buy just 1 way ticket first. The discounted rate depend on season, public holiday or school holiday. For example, today (Dec 2021) no more discounted rate at the moment. I guess is because of holidays.

I would recommend you either join with other hiking groups or ask other hikers during the journey. The path I took in the video just one of the route as still have various ways to Penang Hill.

I always clear everything at the train station toilet after I bought the ticket. Not sure on the way have other toilets as I never enter before.

Erm... I forget the path will lead to where liao. I suggest you can download an offline map app into your phone like "Gaia GPS" to check the route.

I’m going to penang next week and definitely will visit penang hill!! This trail looks nice but I’m afraid I’ll get lost 🤣🤣 plus I don’t think my cousin will be okay with this

This route consider quite popular so you can meet other hikers as well, so you can double confirm the direction, don't worry.

The Penang Hill lower station, the place you buy the ticket (the begining of video) is already a Rapid Penang bus station.

How long does it take to reach the top from bottom? Also how long it take from mid station to top?

If you need to sometime to stop and rest, I estimate need around 2 hours to reach to the top of the Penang Hill.
I unable to estimate about the duration from the mid station. So far didn't really go that that destination.
