If you haven't booked your hotel already:I can't resist recommending to you 'The Atrium Hotel' right in the centre of town..It's the best place I've personally ever stayed in...and the breakfast, is just unbelievable!.
PETER ROBERTS it’s not our first time there. Visited in 2016 briefly and stayed a couple of nights. My wife has recently discovered relatives in Kalush, just up the road a bit. We are staying in an apartment through Airbnb. We wanted to live like locals and get a better view of life. Enjoying these lessons as I’m trying to get my 51 year old brain to learn the language!!
iryska b I have been to Lviv and it’s a beautiful place. IF was chosen because my wife has family in IF and Kalush a short drive away. I would like to go to Chernivtsi. Maybe in August.

Agreed, the best way to learn a language is to speak and be spoken to. At least for me. You should look up the Callan method for learning English, it's super effective!

I think reading is important...And it's very easy to learn reading in Ukrainian

Dear Ira, will they be using 2nd person plural rather that 2nd person singular? Or at least use the word "pan""?
Yes, we use pan and pani or 2nd person plural for people we don't know very well or for older people
