"There is no difference of opinion"
According to the Irish Times, "a majority of Muslims" follow the view taken by modern scholars such as Yusuf al-Qaradawi that music is forbidden "only if it leads the believer into activities that are clearly defined as prohibited, such as drinking alcohol and illicit sex".[10]
Imam al-Ghazali, reported several hadith and came to the conclusion that music in and of itself is permitted, saying: "All these Ahadith are reported by al-Bukhari and singing and playing are not haram." He also references a narration from Khidr, wherein a favorable opinion of music is expressed.[30][24]
According to Hussein Rashid, "contemporary scholars including Shaykh al-Azhar Mahmud Shaltut, Shaykh Yusuf Qaradawi, and Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini have all issued legal rulings that audio arts [including music] that do not encourage people to go against the faith are permitted."[31] Notable people who are regarded as having believed music is halal include Abu Bakr ibn al-Arabi, Ibn al-Qaisarani, Ibn Sina, Abu Hamid al-Ghazali, Abd al-Ghani al-Nabulsi, Rumi, Ibn Rushd, and Ibn Hazm.[citation needed]

    3. HADITHS - Prophet(SA) compared the quran recitation of a companion to the musical sound of Mazamir(wind instruments, flute).

"The heart of man has been so constituted by the Almighty that, like a flint, it contains a hidden fire which is evoked by music and harmony, and renders man beside himself with ecstasy. These harmonies are echoes of that higher world of beauty which we call the world of spirits; they remind man of his relationship to that world, and produce in him an emotion so deep and strange that he himself is powerless to explain it. The effect of music and dancing is deeper in proportion as the natures on which they act are simple and prone to emotion; they fan into a flame whatever love is already dormant in the heart, whether it be earthly and sensual, or divine and spiritual." - Imam Ghazali , Alchemy of Happiness

      * It is not mandatory to follow those 4 imams. Even the veryfying scholars of Shafi'e and Maliki Madhabs said many things contrary to the opinion of Imam Shafi'e. For example, shaving beard is not considered Haram in Shafie and Maliki Madhab, thats the official fiqh of those 2 madhabs. But the imams said its Haram. Likewise many things, like the rulings of ablution.
And those 4 imams are not prophets of ALLAH.
Moreover 100 of imams had the opinion that music not Haram like Imam Gazzali, Imam Ibn Huzm, etc.
      * Christians believe Jesus is God, bcoz their scholars said so. If they Go to hell then you'd also go to hell for following scholars blindly.
      * Abu Jahal said the same to the Prophet SA, "our forefathers believed like this, so we're believing like that".
and ALLAH asked them in Quran, "Where's the evidence from ALLAH?"
      * In Islam we need clear evidence to make anything Haram. No authentic evidence from Hadith exists and No Quran verse exists to make Music Haram.
      * Bukhari hadith 5590 is not authentic, its a hanged hadis or un-numbered hadis in Bukhari bcoz the reporter got no connection to the Prophet SA. Also its not a direct statement.
      * There are almost 50 sahih Bukhari ultra authentic hadis exists which say prophet SA allowed Music, even compared Quran recitation of Abu Musa to the rhythmic sound of Mizmar(flute).
Prophet SA even invited wedding singers to a wedding function.
So Stop Following Scholars. You did the same when you were a Christian, you are doing the same still. No change!
Be a Muslim who follow the truth, do not be an extreme Scholar Worshipper who haramise everything.
Salafism is clearly a deviation. Islam is not a Monastic mosque religion.

Muslims should learn The origin of Adam and Hawas arrival and about their offsprings and how' lies, murder, burial , zina etc all started. Youe will find the answer there for music as well. There are prophets series you can watch one TH-cam and it will all make sense very easy . I still listen to beats ( just beats with no lyrics) 🫤 and i pray that' i can One Day give it up fully . Took me a while to give up music with lyrics. Now' Just stuck to beats and drums . Ill try to to give that up as well unless I am marchlng to filistin . I make sure I listen to Quran More then music and making suree my Quran time is much longer than any beats or music. Slowly all my favorite music starting to sound distorted and kinda hating them. Really hope im almost there to quit it for Good . Please keep me in your duahs that I can stop All the wrong doings 🤲. And ill keep you All in my Duahs for the same .

just because the daff is allowed doesn't mean all other instruments are halal. You have to understand that in none of the four schools of thought is there any permissibility for music. Moreover, Wahhabism did not even start until the end of the 17th century, and Imam Ghazali is not someone from whom everyone takes knowledge, aside from Ashari and Sufi followers.

I really wonder what these people who are infeding with this are inspired. Do they really doubt the ban on this? Or do they face a lack of faith and determination? If you are still in doubt about the ban on listening to music and musical instruments, let him absorb the following evidence. Allah says (interpretation of the meaning):
'And among the people there are those who sell vain talk to wander from the Way of Allah without knowledge.'( Soerat Loeqmaan: 6)
The majority of the Qur'anic exes agree that vain talk in this verse refers to singing. The companion Ibnoe Mascoed has said in response to this verse: 'By Allah, besides Whom is no other god, this is indeed singing.' After which he repeated this three times.
Also, the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'There will certainly be people among my community who will allow fornication, silk (for men), alcohol and musical instruments.'
    (al-Boekhaari)
The Prophet (peace be upon him) abhorred these people because they would declare musical instruments that are forbidden allowed. He equated this with declaring alcohol and fornication allowed. There are also many other traditions in the Sunan- books and the Musnad of Imam Ahmad that indicate the prohibition of music and the provision of a terrible punishment to those who declare and are guilty of music allowed. A true believer needs no more than one correct proof to omit a forbidden case.
    SO ALHAMDILILLAH ITS HARAAM!!!

As the great Imam Ibn Hazm al-Zahiri wrote:
“There is no indication in the wording of this hadith that this warning is tied to listening to musical instruments, nor that it is about singing girls. The apparent meaning of the hadith is that the warning is for their making khamr lawful by giving it a different name. We do not base our religion on conjecture (i.e. by claiming that the punishment is also because of the musical instruments or singing girls).” [12]

For those that are sincere and not just following their desires , we all listen to abit of drizzy here n there. But it's from our weakness. It's sad that brothers be picking and choosing anything.
Let everyone know that not every difference is a valid difference.
For example : a man comes to a women's and said let's get married and the women said I can't there's conditions.
He replies don't worry we don't need a mahram according to the hanafi school
And we don't need a mahr according to an opinion attributed to imam shafiee (not the relied upon one)
And imam Malik said in an opinion attributed to him it's okay without two witnesses. (Not the relied upon one)
Then they both go to hotel and do zina based off these opinions. Hence why I urge you brothers to be sincere and not just run with any opinion that comes your way
    Barakallah hu feek
