The saddest part is that I don't think his jealousy stems from a possessive or controlling nature. I think its abandonment issues. He had no one to love and care for him all his life. So when he finds someone who does....she means the world to him and he is scared to death of losing her. Its why he is (overly) protective of her shielding her....sometimes literally. And having nightmares of her death, worrying when she fell into the valley. And he is insecure other guys will take her away from him and he will lose her that way....so he wants to keep guys away from her and wants to marry her/move in with her/sleep with her/be the one in her mind. He has to have the closest bond with her...cause she is the closest to him. He is a little clingy. The saddest part is that she doorslams him 3 times making his biggest fear come true. She fakes her death, she takes her letters/feelings back and gets herself killed and she runs out on him. She rips his little heart out...literally. The funny thing is. DH and Xuanren have the same childhood story and in both their lives FJ comes to protect them and care for them. But with their shadows...its Aranya who is abandoned and Shen ye comes to protect and care for her. 🤔😍
