I'd love to see a video where you only use Hustles, Burners, or Tropical Surges. I think it would be interesting to watch a league night where you use more entry level equipment.

@@harveywallbanger2899 you can feel that way if you want. It's not sand bagging though. Sand bagging would intentionally bringing your average down below your abilities. Plus Darren already did a video where he threw a Mix for a strike ball in the last league series. I feel like it would be a good representation of bowling to see more entry level equipment, not everyone that bowls can afford the super high end.

So in order to make the PBA oil conditions tougher, they should just put out a league pattern. XD
They did do that, probably about 10 years ago they did a challenge series or something it was called. Plastic tournament, house shot.. Was a couple others too.

league night series is the best content on the channel. to me its far more watchable than the tour stuff.
Don't worry Jesse. My team name in my league is "Spares Are Hard" so whenever we miss one we just say "it's ok, spares are hard" and feel better about our failures.
We do the same thing except we are "Gutter Gang"
We are the “Saturday morning hangovers” whenever we miss we go throw up and it makes us feel better

Been there, done that. I once had the 4 & 7 bounce around in the flat gutter, one of them bounced back out, stood up & slid to the 5-pin spot. It was a beautiful strike shot too...every pin down, then there's a f'ing 5 pin, lol.
What about a cracked 4 leaf clover and the crack or cracks are where the fire is coming from? For the unlucky shirt.
I know how being a competitor and perfectionist can take a toll on the mental game especially when you are playing at a lower tier and do worst. In saying that though, darren, jesse and the whole house of bowling gang inspire me to be a better bowler and have some fun getting better! Vegas was home for me before i joined up so it sucks that i can't catch you guys in person, love you guys!

You should make a video explaining what type of balls to throw on ICE. The center I bowl at has switched to this oil and it would be nice to know from a professional the type of balls he suggests be thrown on ICE.

Agree w other comment, a "entry" ball only night would be fun (hustles, burners, maybe hyped or tropical). Also wouldn't a hustle camo for example combat Darrens problem he address' @ 16:30 mark? Because of his rev's he has to move left way more and faster putting him in the "not right" area for the league lanes. I have no where near Darrens talent, but I ball down so I can roll it near 10-15 arrow in league all night.

Darren I can relate on somehow struggling on a league pattern. I did tournaments with much tougher patterns then house and bowled great and made my spares with no issue. Then the next think I know it I limp to over 600

Because USBC wanted to test Belmo's balls without letting him see, and he said no (as did many others), so they literally banned 6 Storm products the next day. USBC then told Storm to stop making them or they were going to ban even more balls.
I'm sorry, but I don't see how being this partisan is good for the sport of bowling, USBC. You're supposed to set rules, and apply them evenly. Also, your attempt to get people to not like Storm has only pushed someone like me to pretty much only ever buy Storm products now, seeing as you seem to think they are somehow cheater balls. Not only that, but I want to support the company that is being beat up in this.

I don't know anything about bowling, but I do know a lot about physics. Higher RPM's (that opposes forward motion) will increase random variance in ball displacement. For, every time there is a slight deviation in oil thickness, it changes the co-efficient of friction. Consequently, with more "side spin," you will have a higher frequency of nearly "chaotic behavior."
Again, I don't know ANYTHING about bowling. So, I'm probably incorrect in what I'm about to postulate:
But, I would have thought you'd want to roll the ball with the most mass, with as high as velocity as possible (while maintaining proper accuracy), and with the MINIMUM amount of side-spin required for ideal ball & pin pathing. (I know rolling it straight isn't ideal, as it doesn't help the pins spread after contact.)
There HAS TO BE diminishing returns from side-spin when it is inducing chaotic behavior.

One of my team's mottos is "just chuck balls." I constantly stay in my head and try to analyze everything that happens. Sometimes, I have to be reminded to stop trying to control everything and to just let my muscles that I've trained for 10+ years to do what I trained them to do.

I suck throwing plastic at my spares. (also 2 hander) I throw plastic at my 10 pins ALWAYS. my other spares it depends. I plan on using this summer to practice using plastic on all spares. Missed a 4-7 last night on a sport shot league.... Super fun.

I missed the boat on the altered and wanted to pick one up cheap once they got discontinued but I guess that all happened so quick I couldn't get one. Same with trend 2 but I at least had one of those but traded it in for a dark code since I went from 15 to 14 and it was one of my heavier balls.

Ahhhhhhhh....league night! It's a the roller coaster of love! Not really. Last night I went 192, 152, then stoned the front 8 and went on to split in the 9th and 10th - for a 245 - I thought I was on my way to the magic number.😣 Well, I have another chance tonight in a different house.

19:40 ish, that's bout how i play chess.
of course after i learned how to play and use all the pieces when i was 3-5 years old
my oldman taught me how to play and we'd play vs each other.
by the time i got to 4th grade i believe, our maths/science/something else teacher
decided to integrate chess into our class. our elementary portion of the school I
went to (private college prep school pre-k through 12th grade) would assign teachers
to teach multiple subjects.
then in middle school we'd start having 6 classes and 1 period for lunch
stayed that way all through highschool. so one hour periods for 6 classes, 15 min
break in the morning, 1 hour lunch (split into 3 different lunch periods so we didn't
all go at once) and then our last period, last 2, or last 3 periods.
anyways back to the elementary class that had chess tournament into it, the teacher
was also the JV soccer team coach. for some reason, he had it out for me and my
two friends. which ironically, first place would always be one of us 3, mainly me or
david. tyler would sometimes beat david but for some reason could never snag a
win off me. one day, i didn't have anyone to play due to absences, so i said to the
teacher "why don't we play?" - well we did... let's just say he hated me even more
afterwards because he had to write me a tardiness note for my next class since he
was taking FOREVER for each turn and i would already have my next 5-6 turns picked
out depending on what he'd do... so it genuinely pissed him off when he lost...
i didn't tell him how i've been playing chess since 3 years old. he thought i learned
how to play in that grade with everyone else lol...

I throw anything from a motiv venom shock 14lbs all the way down to a 10 lb hammer raw. All depends on what u know. Light weight balls can spit much harder but my go to strike balls are all 16lbs
