Bonni Conley He never said it's unrealistic. I mean, guitar hero isn't really SUPPOSED to be realistic. What you said is true, but last time I checked, guitars have more than five frets.
Thats why the notes are not fully colored like the other ones,they might have a blue colored note with some white in the middle to indicate that it's not a guitar that's being used.
Is no one commenting on the choreography on stage?! That's really impressive they actually animated that, they could have easily NOT did that, I'm impressed
Rock band animations are dogshit compared to this craft. GH was amazing choreography fo many songs since WT yet RB (especially 4) has only singer that can only wave his head from left to right. This may be considered as only detail, but I think this detail does it's work.
@@Chomik4499 there is far more involved in rock band than most people know about. there's lighting animation data, hand animation data, singer facial animation data, camera angle data, drum animation data (by the midi drum charting obv), and i'm FAIRLY certain there's data that can be used to trigger specific animations (like harmonies, or singer hype moments) all of which is MIDI DEFINED and on top of it all there's more going on within that game given you are having to chart for the 2 plastic instruments, but also, - keys - pro drums (3 cymbal action, double bass) - pro bass (actual tabs) - pro guitar (actual tabs) - pro keys (actual piano albeit condensed) this, mixed with the fact that rock band also had a "independent music" approach to it's DLC meant that this was more compatible with helping smaller artists get their work onto the platform without requiring a 20k MoCap setup in their house both approaches have their pros and cons, both were beautiful in their own ways, both took a lot of work to get looking properly.
I know! I thought the intro animation was a nice touch, but the middle part caught me completely off guard! Hands down the best performance in the entire set list, they really went above and beyond on this one!
VIDEO EXPLANATION - PLEASE READ: The game you are watching is Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock or GH6. It was the last true GH game before the franchise went under, released in 2010. Each game has roughly 80 songs from all genres and the characters you pick for your band before you pick a song will perform the cut-scene like movie to the music as GH has been known for the characters programmed to perform each song. For this game the developers went the extra mile and made this performance as similar to the real music video as possible. This was a rare occurence for GH and most songs would have the same actions performed by the characters with just the singer's mouth changing for the lyrics. At the time the game had just came out I was recording FC's of the setlist which means Full Combo so 100% notes hit with no break in the combo from overhits or missed notes. I have played Expert GH since I was 13 and I am 23 now with plans to start making GH videos when I buy my gaming PC in 2019. I Hope this explains it! Thanks :)

This is a perfect example of why I hate Guitar Hero vs Rock Band rants. They're two different games. The real difference gameplay-wise is arcade vs simulation. In this song, Guitar Hero plays the piano intro for the sake of players not getting bored waiting 2-3 minutes to play. This is obviously unrealistic, but that's not Guitar Hero's focus, their focus is to make the game fun. Rock Band does not play the piano intro on guitar for the sake of being realistic. You play guitar when there actually is guitar and you don't play guitar when there is no guitar. Some people prefer realistic while others don't care for it. There IS no better or worse game.
+RobloxRacingTV For Rock Band though, it's not for the sake of being realistic, it's legitimately because the piano part is charted to Keys/Pro Keys. It would be awkward to have the audio stem be tied to two different instruments. Since Guitar Hero doesn't have a keyboard there's no reason to not chart the intro to guitar.
My main point of comparison for Guitar hero and rock band is more on the content and presentation. Of course the gameplay will differ, but I usually side more on Guitar hero for the fact that the presentation is just much more natural. The movements are much more real, as well as most of the emotions on their faces. It looks like they are actually playing the songs rather than the much more robotic and shallow feel of the characters in Rock band 3. I know the background stuff shouldnt be the selling point, but I simply mean the presentation in the later guitar hero games really went up in quality, while Rock Band 3 does more of the same.

If you don't want graphics, play the PC version of Guitar Hero 3. Excuse me for saying that I liked the style of a game. I find this in my recommendation and see that it's from 10 years ago...I remember playing the demo of this on my 360 and being so hyped back in 7th grade. I was a huge fan of the old GH games. Miss those days.
So seeing this animation was hilarious to me, so next chance I got, I set it up where all the characters were either that warrior guy you're supposed to save, or the Lich King (yes, he's a character you can unlock). Seeing them perform this song was the funniest experience I got out of this game.
Axel Steel is a man of many talents. He can sing like the singer of Nirvana, Queen, drowning pool, etc. Not to mention he can also play the guitar, drums, and bass.
Warriors of Rock may not have done a whole lot different from previous games where core gameplay was concerned, but can we all just appreciate the concept, how much better it looked than previous games, and how expressive and animated the band members were for this song? Real talk, I keep coming back to this because of how good it looks to see Axel, Johnny, and Pandora perform as they do.

So seeing this animation was hilarious to me, so next chance I got, I set it up where all the characters were either that warrior guy you're supposed to save, or the Lich King (yes, he's a character you can unlock). Seeing them perform this song was the funniest experience I got out of this game.

Warriors of Rock may not have done a whole lot different from previous games where core gameplay was concerned, but can we all just appreciate the concept, how much better it looked than previous games, and how expressive and animated the band members were for this song? Real talk, I keep coming back to this because of how good it looks to see Axel, Johnny, and Pandora perform as they do.
