It is very difficult to translate Kashmiri poetry into a foreign language, that too a language that belongs to those who do not have a tradition of spirituality or mysticism. Therefore, the English language lacks mystic words or phrases. This is why nobody has ever tried to translate our mystic poets in English so far. I have tried, not to translate but transliterate Kashmiri mystics in my book " I am consciousness" with a caveat that my transliteration is not rhythmic and only explains the theme while maintaining the intent and context as close as possible to the actual meaning but not what the mystics may have meant to convey. The idea is to export the message of our Kashmiri mystic to various countries and peoples of the world.
