Wow! My Samsung drier stopped working suddenly. It happened when I had the gas company come out and check for high gas use. Perhaps it was coincidental..I don't know yet. I Was looking at spending about $900 for a new one. I am now confident I can attempt my own repair and I will do that. No resolution but a huge increase in confidence to begin. I just repaired a refrigerator freezer following a video much like this. Had an expensive microwave fail a month ago. Need to do what I can to keep the costs under control. I will post again after I take a shot at his. Really appreciate how professionally done this video is.

I want to thank you for making this video. My dryer was 2 weeks after the one year warranty expired and being on the phone with Samsung was just awful. I used your video and it helped me get the dryer working again. I want to thank you. You saved me from having to buy another dryer or spending several hundred dollars to a repair man. Thank you, thank you!

Thank you very much for this video. It came really handy today when we opened our Samsung dryer after we smelled something burning. We found lots of burnt dog hair that accumulated over the years. After careful cleaning and vacuuming inside the dyer, it works good again and no burnt smell.

Your video was very helpful. I have 2 suggestions for you. By now, 3 years later, this first one may not apply as you've moved forward? 1. you might consider getting a magnetized bit holder for your electric screwdriver. 2. when installing more than one screw or fastener on an item, leave all loose until all are in place. Then tighten. Keep up the good work.

My model was is the DV45H700WE/AC and my goal was to clean the bottom of the lint trap. The screw in the middle of the trap that you cant see unless your inside the dryer doesn't need to be removed. As another comment mentioned there is a black cover on the bottom that has 4 screws that need to be removed before you can slide the door panel upwards to remove.

This was so easy to follow and helpful. My son dropped his toy car down the lint trap and this saved me from waiting for someone to come out and service it. This gave me the confidence to just go for it myself. I’ll share that I saw a separate tip for removing the top (mine wouldn’t pop off). Used a multi-tool in the crack about 5” from each edge to lift the top just enough for it to pop off of the clips. Also used it to pop the front panel off the small clips on the top. Thanks again for this incredibly helpful public service!

It's crazy that you have to take all those things off just to clean the vent. Thanks so much for this video. I would have never been able to do that without your help. I did have a hard time taking the top off and then pulling it all up. I will look for a long skinny flexible tube or something similar that I can attach to my vacuum cleaner. With it, I should be able to reach the housing that sits right under the lint basket with the removable lint tray. Anything except taking this thing apart again. 😅

My model required me to tilt the whole machine backwards and get underneath to remove 4 screws from a black footer across the bottom. Once we did that, we were able to pry the bottom sides away from the base and THEN pull the front piece upwards and off. This was definitely a two person job and took about an hour.
Added tip: Clean the floor around the dryer first. Your face may become very close with it.

This video was quite helpful, thank you! Of course, I accidentally snapped off the dryer switch, which broke instantly, a little bit of crazy glue and it's as good as new lol

So, 5 years later I had to get back into this dryer but this time to replace the heating element. Thankful for my own video. LOL!... BTW, don't wait 5 years. There was so much dirt, dust, lint, and dog hair it's a wonder it didn't start a fire.

Great job! I have a similar model in make up ( DV48J7770EW/AC ) and had a dilemma trying to find a way get the inner panel removed! That small screw behind the inner vent does not make sense at all to have that there.
Anyhow, I will now try it out! Thanks a million!
