There were little difference in the races during the days that Talos walked the Earth. Much like Ysgramor's worldview. It was mostly just Elves and Men, along with the as yet undiscovered beastfolk.

@@JShort89 seriously? Are you going to blame Ysgramor the way he reacted after the snow elves literally massacred elders, women, men and children in Saarthal?
So, what you do expect him to do? To arrive begging pardon and asking for another alliance? Be realistic. The Snow Elves dealt a huge blow to the Atmorans in Saarthal, and therefore, Ysgramor and the Atmorans responded with triple damage, leading to the almost extinction of the Snow Elves. For me, that's poetic justice.
In elder scrolls every race is racist, that's true. But most of the Nord's racial conflicts (and almost of all the human races) were sparked because of an elven race that mistreated them (Ayleids and Nedes, Left-handed Elves and Yokudans, Direnni and Bretons, Snow Elves and Atmorans).

Ahtar, Solitude's executioner and prison warden, will say Sybille occasionally comes to the prisons looking for "volunteers"
Melaran, the aforementioned Altmer, will all but outright admit to knowing her true nature. He will mention that she occasionally visits the dungeon and adds that Ahtar's axe isn't the worst way for a prisoner in Solitude to die, then quickly ends that topic by warning you against talking too loosely. He becomes the court wizard if she dies and he will say it was an interesting experience to move into her quarters, and also says the court is "free of her eccentricities". And, finally, he references her having been alive for a very long time and alludes to knowing her vampirism by telling the Dragonborn killing her can't have been an easy thing.

Depends on if they're using the broken mechanics from their own games. Also depends on when in their lives you're looking, since the protagonist from 4 becomes the Sheogorath we see in 5... Not like beating a god is beyond the capabilities of the other protags (afterall, anybody seen Almalexia or Vivec lately?)

@@__jonbud______________________ Vehk and Ayem werent really gods. They stole divine power from Lorkhan's Heart, sure, but the Nerevarine removed that problem. And the Hero of Kvatch literally become Shegorath, a Daedric Prince. Even when they had their divine powers, the Tribunal weren't quite on the level of a Prince of Oblivion(Though Seht did manage to bring most of them together for a Pact). A Prince CANNOT be killed. It is literally impossible. Even Akatosh was only able to send Mehrunes Dagon back to the Deadlands.
The closest we get to seeing a Daedra TRULY killed is in ESO, when your final enemy for the faction story(at least for the Pact and Covenant) traps you in Aetherius(The Far Shores for the DC, Sovngarde for the EP) and tries to kill you there, where your essence can't return to Coldharbour to revive you, but you kick their ass so its a non-issue.
So yeah, if it came to a fight, Hero of Kvatch/Sheogorath wins by default. The Nerevarine and Vivec disappeared after TES3, supposedly on a trip to Akavir, the Last Dragonborn is strong, but not on the level of a Daedric Prince. The Agent from Daggerfall is...MIA? AFAIK they kinda just...disappeared after the Dragon Break, and one of the outcomes has their soul destroyed, so...
I'm unsure about any of the others, so I'll leave the rest of them alone.

Snow Elves and Ayelids got absolutely squad wiped, Dwemer decided to piss off and become extra dimensional deities, Morrowind went kaboom, leaving the Dunmer on the ropes, The Orismer, Altmer, and Bosmer are the only three remaining elven civilizations left standing. @darthcycy two words:
      Unreliable Narator
Every story you hear or read in the games is questionable unless you saw it yourself.
The nords told stories of Talos Stormcrown who sailed to skyrim from Atmora where he was born (fun fact: Atmora in Elvish means Stormcrown, hence the name Talos Stormcrown.) But many believe he exaggerated and lied about his origins to gain favor and support from the Nords so that he could conquer Cyrodiil with thier assistance.
Many in Highrovk tell stories of Hjalti Early-Beard, a Breton who would go onto build the legend of Tiber Septim and become emperor of Tamriel.
Also, on a lessse note, the man behind a lot of the modern framework that makes up TES lore, Michael Kirkbride, wrote an unofficial ending to TES called C0DA and in it Kyne referes to Talos as a "Man-Mer"
Excerpt from C0DA (Is NOT cannon at the moment but something interesting to consider):
      > **Jubal and Talos stare each other down, Kyne now close to the table, as her hawks fly off-screen.**
      >
      > **JUBAL-LUN-SUL:** Wrong response, Dragonborn. Faker. Half-beard. Borrower. VIRUS.
      >
      > [ . . . ]

      > **KYNE:** Do you? Where then is the banner for apology?
      >
      > **JUBAL-LUN-SUL:** …

Azidal wouldn’t enjoy the fact that humans merged with elves either seeing as his will for destroying the elves was pivotal against the snow elves. He’s the one that made it so 500 men could overtake a whole province. Brother literally was taught from many different Mer across Tamriel (including the Dwemer) just so he could exact revenge for his wife and child being lost in The Night of Tears, Saarthal’s ruin. Many of his unique relics was used to aid the 500 Companions and I wouldn’t doubt it if the enchantments on Wuuthrad and Ysgramor’s Shield were from Azidal.

The thing about mer and man blood rejecting each other just seems like Thalmor propaganda since mixed race offspring have been shown in the lore. Normally the racial traits of the mother being most dominant with some present from the father.
The Bretons being what happens when this compounds over generations (i.e. first gen proto Bretons reproducing with other proto Bretons and mer), eventually creating a new race.
The reason that mer traits would be disappearing in the modern times (in universe) would be Bretons intermingling more with the races of man than mer (due to things like geography and demographic shifts over the septem era). Diluting the mer blood within them over generations in the same process that created them to begin with.
Races/ethnic groups (both in the elderscrolls and real life) are dynamic rather than static categories.
