Awesome stuff Sal, thank you! Quick note that on my ESXi 6.7 install, the OVA file imported correctly and I did not need the ISO file. I have seen the issue on 6.5 that you had where it doesn't upload or cannot find the virtual hard drive, but it seems that issue has been fixed in 6.7.

I've experienced that it installs correctly using 6.7 vcenter, but it does not install correctly when you are using a 6.7 stand-alone host.

Thanks for the video, you mentioned that you had to tag the customer traffic before esxi would allow it to flow. Where do you set that in the controller? Where do you set what VLAN and network the customers go on?

Thanks for the video. My set up is similar to yours as I have Gig1 set up for out of bound management, Gig2 for the wireless mgt and Gig3 HA. Right now I am accessing the box thru Gig1 IP address, as shown in your video, and Gig2 is set to trunk, but at one point in the video, you set an IP address for that interface, 192.168.x.x?? Then, very briefly I see that Ip address not showing on your screen config ethernet?? Where the IP address is placed so the AP can talk to the controller?? Laye2/Vlan/SVI??

    Hello Bryan
I am using an 9800-CL running on VM ESXI
For license activation I believe my WLC should be reachable to Internet…For this I have a proxy server in my network
Could you please guide me as where can I add proxy server details in WLC for it to be reachable to internet

Hey man, thaks for this video, is very good.
You don't show how to associated the AP with the WLC, Tthere are anithing specific, because i can´t, my scenario is the AP 9210.

Good point! There are a few ways to do this. If the AP is on the same L2 subnet as your management interface then it should eventually find the controller. I say eventually because for some reason I have seen this take hours... Other options are to use DNS (Cisco-capwap-controller.local_domain) or DHCP option 43 to point to the controller's management interface. You would have to use the DNS or DHCP option if they are not on the same L2 subnet. Thanks!

Trunk range 0-4094 not 4095 . Different version I think.

    Hi There
I skipped the section for the AP Certificate in the setup
I chose NO for generate certificate.
Can you tell me how to set it back to YES, so I can enter the password etc, thanks
