I've OS Window 10, Oracle DB 12C and all EPM materials downloaded as shown in this video. please help me in this
Hi Linley,I am setting this installation on a Vitrualbox VM. And I am getting an error while trying to install the 11g database. The error says " error loading configuration data to repository". Any ideas?Thanks
Thanks for your efforts to show us all the whole process. I followed all your steps upon VirtualBox and works OK. However, I've got a question to anyone who has solved this problem: How can make Essbase back after Essbase.sec gets corrupted? The steps I did were: 1. Remove the current Essbase.sec. 2. Copy Essbase_mmddyyyy.bak and rename it as "Essbase.sec" 3. Goto Shared Services Console and remove EssbaseCluster-1. 4. Restart all Essbase services. Still I cannot open any Application in spite of having gained access to Essbase thru the EAS. There is something strange going on too, and ia the fact of not bwing able of starting the OPMN managed processes (opmnctl.bat startall). Since I'm not a professional, I haven't being able of solving this problem. Anyway, thanks in advance
Hello Linley, I followed thoroughly all your video tutorial, and it works great!!; however there are some points I consider they worth to be mentioned: 1. WebLogic 11g needs to be tuned up due to the error [BEA-000449] : [Closing socket as no data read from it during the configured idle timeout of 25 secs] . solution is described in this link: community.oracle.com/thread/3808670 2. Whenever I restart my Server (no matter the reason here..), Essbase Security File (ESSBASE.SEC) gets damaged, and if you try logging to your Applications through the EAS Console, you get this error: [10061] : [Unable to connect to server. The client timed out waiting to connect to Essbase Agent using TCP/IP. Check your network connections. Also make sure that server and port values are correct]. In spite of having removed the "EssbaseCluster-1" Application group through the Shared Services Console and recovered the ESSBASE.SEC File from ESSBASE.BAK as well, I'm still receiving the same error message over and over again without any chance of recovering Essbase. This one is so frustrating since I had to remove every single component related to Essbase and reinstalled them again. Could you provide us a video tutorial Linley how to recover Essbase from corrupted ESSBASE.SEC files as soon as you can?. Believe me, this conflict is one of the hardest to solve in my humble opinion, and besides because I am not an expert with the EPM. 3. I recommend to set an environment variable for the directory which contains the "tnsnames.ora" file, since if we ignore this part, we might get the risk of having sqlplus inoperative after having installed the EPM like Ripley used to say: "Believe it Or Not!". Can't wait for your new video tutorials. I would really appreciate how to have properly installes not only Essbase Studio, but also Hyperion Planning and Hyperion Financial Management as well. Thank you so much Linley for your efforts to upload this video in spite of your hardware limitations. Greetings!!!
