Princess Anne will be in the hospital until at least midweek with head injuries after an accident involving a horse, says ITV’s Royals Editor Chris Ship.

Horses move so quickly. It takes so little to have a mishap. I remember my mom falling off a horse and the horses hoof clipped her head as it trotted away. Mom got up, got back up on the horse and we were riding along and Mom asked if she had fallen off. Because the Princess Royal has had prior head injuries, they would want to observe her for a time to make sure her brain is ok.

Princess Anne is a national treasure and should be given the most cautious of care. I had memory loss after being hit by a car as a pedestrian and tossed in the air like a rag doll. It came back very gradually.

Being whacked on the head by a horse's head is not funny... They're very bony, and immensely strong... I have been thumped by horse years ago but was fortunate to not sustain any similar concussion nor visible injuries per se.
I have been kicked, bitten, trodden on and thrown plus have fallen so I am not here to be nasty to anyone, particularly not to the Princess Royal, who I've liked for years, and am highly respectful of her. She's just three years my senior and my birthday is just twelve days before hers.

Did you see her diary for this week? She is 73 , Hampshire, Edinburgh back home then Stirling back to Edinburgh then back to Gloucestershire, then Canada. Far too much !
Princess Anne was born in the year of the Tiger and she is a metal Tiger very strong sign and she is a Leo. Tigers have loads of energy.

Being knocked unconscious long enough to have someone find you is potentially serious, and would require monitoring. But on the other hand it doesn't mean necessarily there is serious damage.

They said her dog was with her. Growing up, if a dog got near our horses feet or tail , the horse would get upset or kick. It probably happened real fast and she got kicked.
I was thinking she might have been caught between two horses that were fighting. I think her dog provoking one of the horses is just as likely.

She may have a subdural haematoma which is not severe enough for surgery but will require regular assessment and a lengthy convalescence.

The horses got into a rift and she got kicked in the head by accident. Same thing just happened to my daughter 4 weeks ago. And no. The dog would NOT go after the horses. Dogs and horses cohabitate beautifully.
You don’t know if the dog did or didn’t go after the horse some do especially if they’re jealous.
I've seen plenty of dogs that will chase horses. My friend had a Rottweiler that would bite onto a horse's tail and hang on while the horse spun around trying to get the dog to let go. 🐎 🐕
@@rangerannie5636 Your friend should have controlled their Rottweiler and not having it bother horses. Its not fair on the horse and horses are easily spooked.

My favorite part of the day is to walk in the pasture with my horses. Checking the fence line & the wire, picking up things that could lead to an injury for your horse. They get excited to have you join their “family” But there’s a head horse & she’s usually a very smart cookie & not willing to let another horse take her place. So it’s very common for the horses to overstep their bounds & kick up their heals! So what’s a horse person to do? Duck! If you can!
About now I imagine PA is bored stiff & eager to get busy! Stay where you are, my dear, PA! Enjoy the mini vacation.( take my advice, I’m older than you!”)🐎❤️🙏🏻

We don’t know if she collapsed and then hit her head or if she tripped and fell then hit her head. If she collapsed and then hit her head, they might not want that to be public.

If it’s true, she doesn’t recall, that’s not unusual at any age with concussion. She may recall later or not. That too is not unusual.

Oh yeah CANADA Day July 1st can be moved! I'm sorry she won't be able to come, but Canada will go on. I was blessed on stage with QE 2 and Prince Phillip for Canada Day long ago. We must realize that Princess Anne may be tough but she's also aging and more frail when a fall happens.

@@elizabethroberts6215 Why would a horse randomly kick someone in the head? Especially if they are out walking. I know cows and sheep can attack humans if they have young with them. Usually horses are used of been handled and ridden.

Its beginning to look like the Royals are out of luck at present. They are a tough lot but maybe they need to use the younger members of the family to share the load. Of course there is always Harry and Meghan to save the day, packing their bags and hiring another private jet. It would be lovely to see their children this time. Stop all the silly rumours.
I can't help but think that Harry and Meghan had something to do with this because she is a very very experienced horse rider and for anything to go wrong it definitely would not be her doing it would be somebody else is doing so I do believe that somebody you know who I'm thinking of and I believe that somebody might have went into those stables did something to her horse
