- The results of the two Parliamentary Constituencies in the 2024 MP Lok Sabha elections, announced on 4th June marked the defeat of Meghalaya's incumbent MP from the Indian National Congress, Vincent H Pala. He was defeated by Dr. Ricky A J Syngkon of the Voice of the People Party (VPP), who received 571,078 votes, winning by a margin of 371,910 votes over Pala, who garnered 199,168 votes. The NPP candidate for the 1-Shillong Parliamentary seat, Dr. M Ampareen Lyngdoh, secured 186,488 votes, while UDP's Robertjune Kharjahrin received 44,563 votes.
