Lucy fans, please reply here with which song of hers I should react to next. So far I'm seeing requests for "Memory" and other songs from Rosie. I'm all ears! 👂🎵
‘Memory’ or ‘Starlight’ (!) both recorded at age 15 but if you want to see more of her range try ‘’Listen’, ‘She used to be mine’ (both at age 14) At last’, ‘la vie en rose’ or ‘I don’t want to miss a thing’ - basically anything she’s ever recorded. You may have gathered I’m a Lucy supporter.
My current favourites on constant repeat - Greatest Love of All and Always Remember Us this Way (a little bit country 🤠). Both are quite recent so we get those beautiful fuller tones 🙂
There are so many to choose from😁 Footprints in the sand, She used to be mine, All by myself, Starlight, Always remember us this way and The greatest love of all just to name a few.
Lucy’s version of Memory from Cats is better than Elaine Paige, as is the case with all Lucy’s singing so you won’t be disappointed. Most of us and I included aren’t singers, so difficult to say which song for you to analyse. All her songs sound super and better than the original. However (and I’ve suggested this before) I was struck by Lucy’s version of ‘Run’ aged 15. 😳 So going back 4 years and Lucy is younger. It’s a simple video slow building with a lot of depth but I’m always glued to it until the end. So I again suggest ‘Run’ because I think there is much for you to analyse, especially as it’s very different to Snow Patrol’s original. I also love Lucy’s happy Disney song ‘Let It Go’ from Frozen, which is missed because there is no video. So please instead analyse ‘Run’. 🏃♀
Juliet: Listening to and watching you break down and analyze, not just just this song, but all of Lucy's songs, sets you apart from all the other reactionaries on the net. You are a singing coach who can also sign like bird. It is so enjoyable to hear you demonstrate in your own voice, the technique you are explaining or depicting. Lucy is a gift from God. Although I have four of Lucy's albums (disks), I wonder why her management team has not promoted her more aggressively here in the states. Her vocals are phenomenal. You do an exceptional job. Seeing you come to tears on two different occasions while listening Miss Thomas is a direct indication of your love for music. Keep up the good work.
Thank you so much for your wonderful reaction and expert analysis of Lucy's magnificent performance. I would also like to thank you too for your very kind words about my song, I'm so pleased that you liked it. This the first reaction video featuring one of my songs that I've seen, so watching it was a very special experience for me personally! Thank you for helping to introduce Lucy's sensational talent to the world. She is undoubtedly heading for Stardom! With best wishes, Chris.
And congratulations to you, Chris. Your incredible writing and producing skills will deservedly make you both stars. Also, your recognizing Lucy’s skills and potential when she was just 13 or 14 may have just changed musical history.
Hi ya Chris - ALL of your songs from Rosie are wonderful - all the more for Lucy singing the vocals - I sincerely wish I could attend this musical when it opens in London. However, at 77 yo my traveling days are over. All the best and I hope you win many awards for your musical!!!!!
@@bruceobrown534 I agree with your comments. While also 77, I expect to fly from New York to London to see Rosie. For practice, my wife and I are taking or two daughters, their husbands and our two granddaughters to Tuscany, Italy in August. If I can survive that, I should be OK for London.
@@johnbusch7114 Hi ya John - thanks for this reply - WOW what a great vacation trip - Please don't forget to go to the La Sagrada Familia Basilica in Barcelona! It will blow your mind! My late wife and I took trips to Europe when she was alive and all of them were very informative and wonderful. Have a great trip and stay safe and healthy!
Hi Chris...You deserve big Kudos for all the songs you have written for "Rosie". You are a very talented creator and I see a very bright future for both you and Lucy. I respect and acknowledge the hard work you and Lucy are both putting into this great musical.
Chris Broom is a genius 1. For writing all the brilliant songs for “ Rosie” and 2. for finding Lucy at age 13 and seeing that she had the potential to perform those songs to perfection.
You possess all the technical music skills, capabilities and knowledge which I lack. You also excel in analyzing and then explaining what you hear and feel, capabilities which I also lack. My skills are limited to having all my senses overwhelmed every time, and whenever, I hear Lucy sing - any song. I can listen to any of Lucy’s songs, any number of times, and hear and feel something new each and every time. There are many things majestic and magic in Lucy’s performances, and listening and watching you explain what I hear and feel is also quite wonderful. Chris Broom is the head of Cavendish Records. I believe he signed Lucy to a contract when she was 14, has produced all her songs and albums, and is writing and producing the upcoming musical, Rosie - which will have Lucy as its star. I don’t need anyone to tell me what I like, but I thoroughly appreciate that there are people like Lucy Thomas, Chris Broom, and yourself out there to help bring musical magic and knowledge to my ears. I have watched each of your Lucy Thomas podcasts, and anxiously awaited the next ones. One last thought, I believe that Lucy has had the same singing coach since she was 7 years old. If that’s correct, that coach has done an incredible job.
@@briankrames1883 Would love to hear comments from Carolyn on what it was like coaching Lucy and her feelings about Lucy's growing success. She must be incredibly proud of Lucy!
The story of Rosie Boote is perfect for a musical. Convent School as a child after her fathers death, became a ‘Gaiety Girl’ in the 1890s, met and married a member of the aristocracy against the wishes of no less then the King but eventually made a triumphant entry into British society had two children and lived until 1958.
Juliet FYI Chris Broom is Cavendish Records, who signed Lucy at 14 after her performance on UK Kids, Lucy and Chris are co producing the Musical ROSIE, and Lucy will sing the lead when it opens in West London now slated for the fall 2024. Chris Broom has also written 4 more songs to date for Lucy which she sang at 15 before the covid shut down, they are also dress rehearsals, STARLIGHT, SUDDENLY, GENTLE BREEZE, and ONE DAY lucys first recording. They also have a choir scene as a dress rehearsal WE THANK YOU LORD . I would suggest any or all of these original songs and be further impresed with Lucy as they are ALL STUNNING performances !! Thanks for the warm react. watch it again all the way through several times.
Lucy has the perfect voice ( for anything) but particularly musical theatre. I realised that when I heard her perform ( not just sing) “Memory” from Cats at age 15. I recently listened to it in my car at full volume and the speakers glitched out when she hit the “touch me” crescendo!
‘Broken Dreams’ - a great choice of song. My favourite song so far from Rosie. I love this song and I predict this song with Lucy Thomas will be a household hit after Rosie’s release. Move over Andrew Lloyd Webber, this songs as better than ‘Memory’ from ‘Cats’. An excellent analysis (I think 🤪) of Lucy’s rich, full, and powerful voice. 👍 Who of general listeners would imagine singing was so involved and intricate.
What a brilliant analysis of this perfect performance by Lucy Thomas of a magnificent composition by Chris Broom. 100 out of 100 for everyone. These are the sorts of reactions that we need to hear and that give the concept credibility. Thank you for doing this. Next Lucy reaction should be of Evergreen, her latest release
Wonderful reaction. Lucy never disappoints. I can’t dance, sing, draw, or paint but I can listen and I am a pretty good engineer. Since the first time I heard her voice I knew she was a bound for stardom. I wish the very best for her and her career. She is bless by God with a very special talent. Thank you so much for supporting her. Once again Great Reaction.
Hi Juliet, I thoroughly enjoyed this reaction as well as your other reactions to Lucy's video's. Please add my name to the list for your next reaction to Memory, from the musical Cats, even before you do Starlight. The first time I heard her sing Memory, all I could do was sit there and wonder how a young lady at 15 years old, could perform that song with such power and emotion as Elaine Paige did. Take care
Juliet FYI This son BROKEN DREAMS written and composed by Chris Broom and sung by Lucy won the European song writers contest for 2022 in the general category, also his SUDDENLY sung by Lucy a couple years back also won in the general category , Chris know how to write music for Lucy !!
She shines no matter what song she sings/ She has the best voice going/ Thank you for featuring her again. Her and Martha do a great rendition of the Climb. Check it out!!
Kudos on your informative explanations once again. Hands down the best reactor out there. While I don’t complain about others reinforcing my layman’s opinion of how wonderful Lucy is, so many just listen with their mouths hanging open until the end of the song. I can (and do) do that myself. So much more interesting to learn WHY she is so good.
😅you are now my favorite Vocal Coach, I love your reactions to Lucy Thomas. Yes I agree with you all the way. I enjoy watching your expressions when Lucy sings. Thank you for sharing yourself and your Dog ( Chuckles) with your viewers. Kim in AZ.
Lucy NAILS this song for this superb musical performance which I can listen to 'time after time'. Thankfully, I have all her CD's to enjoy during my six hour drive from our two abodes. Lucy IS my favorite artist of all time in this 74 year old life...
Thanks so much for reacting to my suggestion for “ Broken dreams”. I was sure you’d love both Chris Brooms brilliant song and, of course, the spectacular performance by Lucy Thomas
Oh, I’m just seeing this, thank you sooo much Peter! 🙏🤗 You we’re right, this is probably still my very favorite Lucy performance so far, singing Chris’s beautiful music!
Dear Juliet, I love listening to your analysis of Lucy. I take your comments very seriously as you being a singing coach know so much more than most reactors. It helps me appreciate Lucy's talent so much more than my own unprofessional opinion. We have found a true diamond here and to see her beauty and know how beautiful she is inside, plus how happy she makes so many people feel with her talent is truly a wondrous thing. Thnk you for analysing her. xx
Lucy presents velvety rich verses and dynamic power in her chorus sections. I am encouraged to listen again and again - and have! - to enusre full appreciation of each beautiful note. Thinking of flying to London to catch the musical release of "Rosie" - Lucy and cast will be amazing!
Broken Dreams is such a powerful song. She sings with perfection. I was also impressed that you could hit her notes, but Lucy puts it all together so beautiful visually & auditorially if that is a word.
all of the songs Lucy sings from Rosie are brilliant and this is the best . thank you once again for your lovely comments. i asked you yesterday if you had done a reaction to Lucy singing She Used To Be Mine . could you have a listen?
You are a beautiful lady with a beautiful voice and I love your reactions to Lucy Thomas. There is no one singing like Lucy today, She is one of a kind. She recorded a song from "Rosie" when she was 13 "One Day" that only one person on TH-cam reacted to. Would love to watch and listen to your reaction to this Beautiful song. Thank You!
I've had to watch this reaction a few times now as you gave us so many great insights. Thanks for enhancing our appreciation of what goes into creating a fantastic performance, from the composition, body dynamics, singing techniques etc. 👏 In case you didn't notice, Chris Broome the composer left you a comment 🙂
Hi Juliet...such a wonderful heart warming reaction to this incredible original song by Chris Broom and a spectacular performance by our amazingly talented and beautiful Lucy Thomas. Thank you so much and I look forward to your next Lucy reaction. You possess a master's knowledge technically and your enthusiasm and emotional moments are heartfelt and sincere.🙂
Wow, I have watched Lucy’s Broken Dreams many times however it’s only now after your analysis that I get to appreciate just how much work must go into developing skills to this level. Thank you Juliet for your reactions and ongoing support of this wonderful and incredibly talented young artist. 👏👏😊❤️
Chris Broome is involved with Cavendish records, who signed Lucy some time ago,Chris has written a number of songs for Lucy for the forthcoming musical 'Rosie'sometimr in 2024!,can't wait!🥰💖
When you paused so quickly and mentioned Linda Eder, Lucy's cover of "Someone Like You" came to mind. She covered it at 14 with a crystal clear vocal. My choice for your next review would be "Starlight" or "Memory". Your breakdown of her singing "Broken Dreams" made me appreciate her talent even more. Thank you.
Great reaction, enjoyed learning from your comments. Lucy .... stunning performance as always with a stunning composition. What could be better, just more Lucy reactions!
Yes Juliet is definitely my favourite favourite vocal coach also she really knows what she is talking about ,and as an added bonus she is a great fan of Lucy, regularly reacting to her, always being so supportive, the only other vocal coach that comes close is Larry's Hair
Thank you Juliet, the best reaction I have seen, very informative, do your self a favor and check out all of Lucys music, for a treat to yourself, even if you do not do a reaction to them, Although if you her a song and decide to do a reaction no harm doing it. having heard the song all the way through before reacting does no harm, you are better prepared. Thanks again enjoy Lucys music, there's a lot out there !!
Hi ya Juliet - OMG, as always, I love your reactions and especially this one. Your insights into the technical aspects of this song and Lucy's interpretation are so enlightening! You give me so much more than I ever expected when I just listen to Lucy perform. Even your analysis of Lucy's gestures is enlightening. Also, your facial expressions are precious - it shows that you actually are enjoying analyzing this performance. (By the way - Wilbur - I know you will see this and comment - here is a bit of the Juliet singing voice you were looking for). Thank you SO much Juliet for being such a great supporter of Lucy. I think Rosie is coming to the West End in London some time in 2024. Looking forward to your next Lucy reaction!!!!! Sorry about editing comment Juliet, but you mentioned how memorable this song is - I hear this song in my mind all the time and even see it in my sleep/dreams.
Thank you for your reaction with the amazing Lucy, Juliette, as well as your explanations during the song. And I keep on loving your beautiful eyes, too.....
Thank you so much for this reaction to my favorite (so far!) of Lucy’s original songs. I can’t wait to see your detailed assessment (In 5 hours and 38 minutes from now!) I know Lucy will appreciate it.
I really enjoy your analysis. That's the difference between your video and other videos. I'm just one of the Lucy fans, but I thank you for your favorable comments.
Hi Juliet. Great reaction to Lucy as always It is always good to get a reaction from someone who knows what they are talking about. its even better when they confirm what you think. I never liked this style of music until I heard Lucy sing and now I listen only to Lucy. As Chris Broom said when he met her She has the potential to be one of the greatest vocalists of all time she has the rare ability to be able to bring her audience into the song. I think he is so right. she does just that. Every thing she sings is brilliant .The song you just reacted to won Chris the song writers open category award with Lucy singing it. He was the producer of "Brand new day" Not only is he a song writer but also the owner of Cavendish records the Label Lucy is under. He has been Lucy´s mentor since he meet her at 13 years old and asked her to sing his song "One Day" That maybe a great song for you to react to as you will see what attracted Chris to Lucy .He is actually writing this musical "Rosie" for Lucy to star in , I think that there are a few more songs to be added .Lucy has pre released a number of them eg "Starlight", Suddenly", Gentle Breeze "and of course "Broken Dreams". There are some very good older songs from Lucy even if you did not want to react to them eg. Listen (age14) the amount energy she puts into this is unbelievable, or there is a duet with Will Callan "Can I have this dance" (again at 14 Years old) .Other great songs from Lucy "Wind beneath my Wings", I don´t want to miss a thing" "My heart will go " "All by myself" I could go on the list is endless you could pick anything they are all great. And I will listen to what ever you play of Lucy´s. Thanks again for following Lucy🤩🤩
Thank you so much for doing these reactions to Lucy’s music. I have been following Lucy since she was 13 and I have watched every video of her performances I can find on TH-cam. I am not a singer and I often wonder if she is as amazing as I believe she is, so I am always looking for someone reacting to her music. I like watching the reactions of vocal coaches because you know of what you speak. Never seen a negative reaction to her ever.!
bboomerusa I have seen a couple of negative comments about Lucy but they appear to be from some loser in their moms basement that are ignorant and could not carry a tune in a bucket. They were jumped on pretty hard and I saw one comment "go away" !!! !
Regarding Linda Eder, you should have a listen to Lucy singing "Someone Like You" from Jekyll and Hyde. It was on Lucy's first album, Premiere, but is only available on TH-cam as audio only. However, at the age of fourteen, Lucy absolutely nails it. Lucy is definitely going to be a musical theatre superstar and this will all start when Rosie - the musical hits the sage in London later this year.
Juliet you had asked if anyone knew who Lucy's long time voice coach is and according to the info in her CD booklet in her Premier album her voice coach is Carolyn Hudson hope this helps. thanks for all your support of Lucy !! !
Hi Geoff, this song came in as "highly recommended" so I went with this one first. And don't worry, you'll be pleased with what I had to say about it ☺
I would love you to react to another song from Rosie "Starlight" I checked on your channel and can't see it....I will be going to see Lucy in the West End in Oct where she will be singing songs from Rosie...but it's not the actual production yet...There is going to be a full orchestra in Oct....So I am very much looking forward to hearing Starlight 5 years after she first sang it...with that full orchestra...I just know it is going to be breath-taking...so a stunning reaction from your good self before I go would set things up perfectly...I don't comment to much...but always watch your Lucy reactions...Thank you for being an amazing Lucy supporter :):)
Hi Juliet, We would love to see your reaction to Lucy performing her latest release, ‘Evergreen’, love theme from “A Star is Born” You will not be disappointed 😊

Chris Broome is involved with Cavendish records, who signed Lucy some time ago,Chris has written a number of songs for Lucy for the forthcoming musical 'Rosie'sometimr in 2024!,can't wait!🥰💖
I read that about Chris Broome after listening to this. Her voice and his music are a great match!
I do believe that Chris Broom is Cavendish records, what I have heard
Le Vin En Rose is spectacular! Also Listen, very complex!
YES !!!! Le Vin En Rose
Sono unfan di lucy
When you paused so quickly and mentioned Linda Eder, Lucy's cover of "Someone Like You" came to mind. She covered it at 14 with a crystal clear vocal.
My choice for your next review would be "Starlight" or "Memory".
Your breakdown of her singing "Broken Dreams" made me appreciate her talent even more. Thank you.
Linda Eder's cd Gold has several songs I would love to hear Lucy cover!!!
Hey, Lucy, I love you It's Bill Rivera
again ❤🥰😇 a star is born.⭐️🌟
Lucy has an amazing voice. Her performance of "Broken Dreams" sounds perfect, incredible. Thank you for doing an analysis teaching vocals.
Great reaction, enjoyed learning from your comments. Lucy .... stunning performance as always with a stunning composition. What could be better, just more Lucy reactions!
Make you feel my love. An old James Taylor song, best version I have ever heard. Makes you believe she is singing to you!
You're now my favorite vocal coach on youtube 🙂 Thank you. And I LOVE your reactions to Lucy's amazing voice.
Listened to it many times!,glad to listen again,& listen to your reaction!,Lucy is stunning!❤
She really is! And this performance knocked my socks off! ❤
Bruce, yeah I was a little late had a DR appointment and just got home, I knew it was coming, Juliet does the best react, cant miss her.

Thanks again for the recommendation, this is one of my favorite Lucy performances so far! ❤
Thank you so much for your reaction..Lucy Thomas is so beautiful and talented. Angelic voice so sweet and wow! Wow! God bless Lucy and God bless you.
“Broken Dreams” really shows the way Lucy can show real emotion and drama in her voice! ❤️
Thanks again for following Lucy🤩🤩
colinhea Great comments, you saved me a lot of typing !!! Thanks.
THERE IS NOTHING she cannot turn it into gold
what a voice amazing
Regarding Linda Eder, you should have a listen to Lucy singing "Someone Like You" from Jekyll and Hyde. It was on Lucy's first album, Premiere, but is only available on TH-cam as audio only. However, at the age of fourteen, Lucy absolutely nails it. Lucy is definitely going to be a musical theatre superstar and this will all start when Rosie - the musical hits the sage in London later this year.
What a beautiful voice Lucy Thomas ❤ ❤
Juliet you had asked if anyone knew who Lucy's long time voice coach is and according to the info in her CD booklet in her Premier album her voice coach is Carolyn Hudson hope this helps. thanks for all your support of Lucy !! !
Can't wait until her first Broadway show. Instant Tony.
I'd really like to hear Lucy singing with Andrea Bocelli, Il Divo or Il Volo. It would be amazing!
God gives the gift
OMG Lucy dropped another spectacular song. A cover of Barbra Streisand "Evergreen".
Her last note will knock your socks off...
Absolutely beautiful.
I have heard the news, and looking forward to reacting soon! 👍
"Run to you" or "make you feel my love" You can't go wrong with any of Lucy's songs. You can not look away.
It's a bit late perhaps to comment but I think you are marvellous and Lucy is breathtaking literally would love you to comment on Lucy's At Last
Coach I think you have a good voice. Would love to hear you sing some of your favorite tunes some time. :)

Only assess as "perfection". Bit harsh lol. Can't wait for your reaction, but what happened to the other Rosie song you were going to reacts to?
BTW. I love your reactions and analysis.

It was aggravates me when somebody comments all the time in a song that we haven’t heard before!
I realize you’re doing a reaction video but you can kind of save it a little bit towards the end!
I can understand how you feel. I suggest you listen to the whole song first at Lucy’s channel then come back and listen to the analysis of the song. You will appreciate Lucy’s singing much more.
