Why is NO ONE talking about the Memphis Grizzlies?

- The Grizzlies had back to back 50 win seasons, have one of the NBA's top young trios, and a solid rotation around them, but still aren't being taken seriously in the West? I am not sure about this one, the Grizzlies are going to come back hungry and ready to prove the world wrong after being shunned for an entire year.

Memphis is a better team than Lakers, Clippers, and the Warriors, all which get way more press. Small market team bias.

Zach Edey is a great addition honestly. Dudes a monster. Not a Memphis fan either but I wouldn’t take them lightly next year one bit.

I think they should run Jackson JR at the 4. Then run Edey at the 5 obviously. Jackson JR can stretch the floor with a decent outside shot. Then Ja,Bane,Smart at the 1,2,3 that's a solid lineup.

One thing people don’t realize with Jaren Jackson’s diminished rebounds last season was, THE DUDE WAS SURROUNDED BY G LEAGUE PLAYERS! Opposing teams boxed him out every single time, then dealt with beating the G league dudes for a rebound.
It was the same with offense. Bane was double teamed constantly. JJJ was doubled when Bane wasn’t in. Again, the people left were literal G League players.
Sometimes it doesn’t work out being the strongest player on a team. Usually that transfers to an epic season, BUT ONLY IF THE REMAINING SQUAD IS NBA! You can leave G league open and they may brick, NBA guys are going to make those shots, pull those rebounds, etc.
The grizzlies depth last year was basically a really strong G league team. That made scoring way harder for the big guys like, Bane and JJJ. Same with rebounding and general playmaking. Watch the games! Bane and JJJ always had people stuck to them and very little space to do anything.
This coming season you’ll have
1. Ja
2. Smart
3. Bane
4. Jaren Jackson
5. Edey
The defense will not be able to focus on one player. If they focus on ja then Bane, JJJ and even Edey will be waiting. This team is really good and are together for years to come.
Even the back up squad
1. Pippen
2. Kennard/Vince
3. GG/Vince
4. Clarke/Aldama
4. Aldama/Huff/clarke
And then acknowledge the most amazing part: THEY WILL POSSIBLY BE UNDER THE TAX LINE WITH THIS TEAM! This means that the next season, after this one, they are about to be able to go all in and could conceivably pick up a huge name or two amazing role players.
This is the best built team in the nba for the new CBA rules. I see them being contenders 2025-2028
if grizzlies stay healthy they will definitely raise some hell this season 💯

We have a lot of confidence in both of our 2nd round draft picks in Cam Spencer and Jaylen Wells to be very consistent 3 point shooters. And because of Scootie Pippin Jr and Derrick Rose, we don't need Tyus Jones anymore. I love Jones, but he would totally disappear in the playoffs. The world might be sleeping on the Grizzlies, but here in Memphis...we are not. GO GRIZZLIES.

as a Grizz fan, it's because of salary cap and the emerging potential of Scottie Pippen Jr to be their backup PG. That's why Tyus (which also wants to start as PG to a young team) reunion is no longer in view.
Nice video but you omitted quite a bit. Griz have invested 𝙃𝙀𝘼𝙑𝙄𝙇𝙔 in Scottie Pippen Jr. They do not need Tyus. Did you see any of his Summer League play not to mention him last season handling majority of the PG minutes? His defense is f*king 𝙎𝙏𝙀𝙇𝙇𝘼𝙍. Pippen, GG, and LaRavia wrecked havoc in Vegas. GG will be in the running for 6th man. BOOK IT. If Edey is billed as advertised from just those 2 games in Vegas, Memphis will not only win 50+, they are automatic title contenders. Just imagine the screens Edey could set for Ja & Bane!? And he's playing next to Trip!? Whose going in the paint against all that!? 😂

While Ja's absence hurt the start of the season, overall it wasn't his fault. They had 35 different players play last season on what is supposed to be a 15-man roster.
I feel like they are tying to run the GS Warriors plan. Win now, & prep for the future. They draft project players that should hit their peak, once the Giannis & Dame start to decline

Of course like everyone else it’s left out that the Grizzlies have not been healthy for the playoffs since Ja’s second year in the Utah series. Health is by far the Grizzlies biggest huddle.

I love Tyus but Scotty Pippen Jr is the future. A better defender with a similar skillset so you could play Pippin and Ja. Tyus and Ja lineups had major defensive deficiencies especially come playoff time. Also Tyus wants to start. Running it back isn't always what's best
@@candaceh16 yes you’re right about that. Tyus and Ja couldn’t play together which is why I think they got Smart to offset Ja’s defensive lapses
