The sushi in Vegas is the top. Mom and Pop Cafes. I thought you guys would have found some "whole in the wall" places, like you do in other countries. Not us. Everyone eats at these basic places and call them American food. I expected more from you guys. I live in Alaska, and I am so disappointed. DENNYS, WHITE CASTLES, 7 ELEVEN, REALLY? So basic.

As a Texan currently living in California, we're never content with the food. We're used to stacks of delicious ribs and bbq at a low price and you can't get that outside of Texas 😅
My friends and I used to get Denny's all time, but it was never during "breakfast time", It was always 12-2 am when everything else was closed. I LOVE that Denny's is open 24/7..though one time we were a little intoxicated and when the waiter asked how i would like my eggs I literally told her "eggs, please!" She stared at me until I realized 10 seconds later what I said... "I mean...over easy!" As for white castle I've never been to one however I have tried their frozen burgers and those are better than our McDonalds....x) I prefer the CA version of 7/11 "AMPM" although they are both pretty sketchy haha!

McDonald’s is actually pretty good when you get it cooked fresh. It goes for other fast-food as well but sometimes the cooks will cook a lot of beef patties, fries, nuggets and etc especially when it’s busy and let it sit in the warmer and the food gets all dry and stale and that’s probably what happened to you guys.
White castle is one of the best fast food places there is. Holds a place in my life, after my wedding wife and I hotel was right near a white castle, we walked there with friends and got multiple crave cases and enjoyed.
I didn't know there was a White Castle there, I wonder if it's pretty new or if I just walked by in every time I'm there!😆My Parisian cousins specifically wanted to go to Denny's for breakfast because they love American pancakes, which I thought was hilarious. (The pancakes were great.)

lol white castle used to be for the late night partying and drunks where i was from (NYC) and for a decent price. Quality is not good but for a bunch of broke college kids it was awesome.
I heard Peppermill is re-starting to be open 24 hrs. on weekends, which is one of my FAV restaurants in Vegas (huge menu, great Vegasy atmosphere). 7-11's in U.S. are OK, they have TONS of snack choices but I would MOVE to Japan just for their 7-11s!!! Not crazy about where Vegas is heading, tearing down legendary Tropicana for a baseball field (more drunks, cars & smog) Still love the kitschy hotels (Luxor, Excaliber, NYNY, etc.) but w/o the kitsch, Vegas is just a row of overpriced hotels & resort fees.
as an american who grew up on white castles i will say my least favorite are the cheeseburgers - you should have gotten them without cheese - there is something strange about the cheese that makes me sick after i eat it but i could eat a dozen of the hamburgers by myself - hold the warm pickle tho - they do have the best mozz sticks and their marinara is tops too
As a Las Vegas local the best places is always away from the strip. I hope you both reconsider coming back and have a local show you around to better versions of what you experienced in the strip. The strip is known to be over priced and over hyped.
I’ve eaten at WhiteCastle about 3-4x in my life…..and it was always between the hours of midnight and 3am…..best meal ever after a night of clubbing and drinking.

the mcdonald’s in US are hit and miss, some mcdonald’s really are so good here, it’s very much about who owns the restaurant here and the management over it as well as the location, all the things combined can make a very good mcdonald’s, but some are definitely very bad!! don’t give up, try a mcdonald’s that isn’t connected to any other stores and looks like it’s been possibly recently renovated, many cars in the driving through is often a good sign (especially if it’s in a city that isn’t as popping as vegas), and you’ll probably be getting some fresh fries and a good burger.
Honestly, if you go to a 7/11 and there isnt a crackhead outside harassing you and no piss on the floor, it's a nice 7/11 LMAO although i still wouldn't use the bathrooms 😬
