One of my favorite jokes in the original series was where one character tells the Warners to “give the bird”, to which Yakko responds “well we’d love to, but the Fox censors won’t let us”. Now that they’re on a streaming service and likely might not have to worry about censors, I wonder if they’ll joke about that.
Well... that technically DID happen but I don't think you'll enjoy it as much as you'd hoped. Pinky, Elmyra, & the Brain is a genuine cartoon series. :P

They did bring in Elmira for an episode. I think it she was brought in to be their "babysitter" or something. They even blended into a Buttons and Mindy episode

I don't know who was pushing Elmira so hard at the WB but they also tried to get her a show even before smooshing her into Pinky and the Brain (edit: there was a pilot of her with a different family which apparently didn't pan out.) Don't get me wrong, I liked her, but I didn't think much of her from the original Tiny Toon series. She probably has potential once you get past her basic gimmick but I still think it's funny and a little bit weird that she became someone's pet project and I'm not sure why. XD

Doubt it. Power Rangers was a HUGE thing at the time Animaniacs made fun of it, which is why they did it. I'm sure they'll be focusing on new things they couldn't make fun of when they were off the air.

Everything you said about Animaniacs was spot on. I grew up watching it myself when it first came out. The beauty of the show was the fact that parents and children could both watch it. Basic slap stick for the kids , with some jokes that would obviously go over a kids head for the grown ups.

There have been a couple of stand out reboot successes to me. Danger Mouse and Duck Tales did a great job of retaining the original style and humour but modernising it in the right way. Look forward to it.

And I've seen so many Animaniacs/Sailor Moon crossovers & parodies in fanfic form.....and they're really awful (one of them even had Wakko having a past & rekindled relationship with Luna😖🤢).

I love how flat Hello Nurse sings during The Monkey Song, personally. It's such a juxtaposition to everyone else. Like she got caught off guard and doesnt ever sing. It's great to me.

That "finger Prince" joke is literally the funniest joke in the original show's history xD the writers actually had an even dirtier joke that they knew the censors would cut and therefore miss the Prince joke :P

You're right Andre. There is more than that one joke about fingerprints... there's also the one about Beethoven being an orchestra conductor and pianist.
Small but cool detail is that the original run stopped at 99 episodes, so first episode of the reboot will be episode 100 overall

6:35 Randy Rogel, who wrote Yakko's World, Yakko's Universe, Wakko's United States, The Presidents, and many other songs, did return to create more music for the new show.
One thing Andre: what will replace “Bill Clinton plays the sax” in the opening song?! I know they struggled with that one, and it needs to be updated because Clinton and saxophones isn’t so relevant anymore.
There will be a new theme song with the same tune but new lyrics.
They've had variations for that line in the past (apparently for different seasons), so I think they'll be fine.
Wonder if there will be a updated president song?
There have been a couple of stand out reboot successes to me. Danger Mouse and Duck Tales did a great job of retaining the original style and humour but modernising it in the right way. Look forward to it.
