A tip not mentioned to other viewers: once you start changing parameters in the export settings, there is a "Save" button that becomes enabled. You can save your changes as a preset so you don't need to keep changing the Bitrate, Encoding Format, etc.

Just received my Insta 369x3 and thought same as you a huge mistake but after a evening playing with it seem to got the gist. By the way my Go Pro was a lot easier LoL

Great video. Question can you do the reframe in studio then add music transitions via 360 app?
Just a reminder for audience. There is also the possibility to copy and paste keyframes by just crtl+C and crtl+V key combinations.
Also, to add keyframes you can also press crtl+K

Dearest Shanil, "congratulazioni" on your videos; looking at them I decided to buy the GO2, the ONE R 4k and the ONE X2. Please make an easy easy video with the setting for cloudy days and another for night shooting. I don't understand spoken English, so show how to make settings using images: first make settings directly from the cameras by framing the screen and then also show how to make settings using the app. Thanks and GREETINGS FROM SOUTH ITALY!

Excellent video, big help. I was wondering, do you keep all the original videos or do you export them all on insta360 format. My first use yesterday and I ended with 90 go 😱. All senators when I was riding my motorcycle and I would like to keep them, in the best possible format and maybe not so big. Thank you.

I've got to say, I just discovered your Insta360 videos yesterday and in the last 24 hours your beginners video and this one on the "studio app" have taught me more than any other Insta360 videos. Great Job! One question. When I am in the export menu and set the file name first, if I then go and change the encoding type (say from H264 to H265) it resets the filename. That's just annoying and, until I learn what order to do the export settings in, it catches me every time. Well done!
One question, how to split the video? Let's say I don't want a specific part in my video that is in the middle of my video. How do I split the part and delete from the timeline but keep the others part as we do it non 360 editor?

Hi, thanks for video, when using iOS app to edit you can jump cut as well as trim, can you do the same in Studio PC version? Also, you can add text to the project in iOS, any option to do that on PC? Thank you!

Thx for the meticulous tutorial. Just few simple queries: Have you used the new 'in camera flowstate stabilisation'? It stabilises inside the camera as they said? But is it comparable to OSMO Action's stabilisation? Seems its very basic and does not offer advanced features like horizon steady etc.?
2ndly, after processing / exporting in Inst360 Studio at standard bitrate, say 100 Mbps, the size remains almost same or yields a compact size? Meaning, would we need to put the output again through 'HandBrake' or similar transcoding applications?
Lastly, How long a 30 minutes 4K clip might take to export in an i7/16GB rig? Do you use GPU (NEVC) transcoding or entirely leave to the CPU?

Hi, very in depth tutorial & easy enough to follow but I have some REAL beginner questions & would appreciate your insight & help. Firstly, how do I get the files permanently onto my desktop or hard drive without having the camera plugged in all the time? I tried to import to my desktop but my Mac said that it couldn't open the file format or something like that. Secondly, how do I know which encoding format my video was shot in? Next, do I have to export to save a project & where are the projects saved to, a file within the desktop program or somewhere else on my hard drive & after editing a number of clips, how do I bring them all back together so that I can combine them into one long clip?
I know to a lot of people reading this, they would think these questions to be no brainers but I'm far from tech savvy & easily confused by what others don't even have to think about. And, as a final question, when I'm watching the clips whilst the camera is still plugged in, the clips momentarily stop as if they are buffering. Would this be a case of insufficient RAM on my computer or just a case of transfer speed between camera & desktop, & something that would be alleviated if the files were already on the desktop/hard drive.

I’m using the ONE X2 with Vivid colour. Yes bright sunshine is the best time to use 360 cameras!

Hello, is it possible to edit those videos via Insta360-Studio, which are not shot via any Insta360 camera? Example, if any video is shot via mobile, can I edit those via Insta360-Studio?

I acquired an 8k Timelapse last night but when I try to open it on my phone I get a message that I don’t have enough memory on my phone. I’ve tried to open it with 360 studio but don’t how I can do it that way. Any help?
So, it seems that the desktop version updates the keyframes automatically, as opposed to the mobile version. On mobile, f you add a keyframe first and then reframe the video, you must press the Update Keyframe button or else the keyframe will be keyed to wherever the video was when you created the keyframe.

You have to film in 360 and you need to export in 360. Yes 360 view can be turned off.
Too bad both the app, and pc app don't show sound waves for easy filter long shots with voice narratives.
hen i try to import the software from the camera into the studio app on my desktop, it shows up. But if I disconnect my camera from the computer, NONE of the videos are there anymore. They will only appear in studio if i keep the camera connected, which if I do that for a long time will cause the camera to overheat. Are you experiencing that issue? And why wont my videos import and stay without the camera staying connected to the computer?

Use the trim feature to cut the video and export it as a new video
Hi,Sir,could you help me with an issue that I have with Insta Studio 2022?,because I can't add any keyframe on my timeline,neither I have those icons that you have beside the speedramp icon.
I don't have the stiching and logo icons to wich is weird.
When I click on Edit to open that window ( on left top corner,beside File),from Add Keyframe to Erase all,all those 5 points are in gray color ( like them wouldn't be on you know),I already sent emails to Insta 360 service support but I haven't any answers,also I already uninstall it and reinstall it many times and the problem is still there.
When I were using the old version,everything was working perfect but now,I don't know what is going on so could you please help me with this,I'm using footage taking with the Insta 360 Go 2,neither I don't have the preview icons on middle screen on top so it's completely a mess.

In the 3rd shot when you pan out to a tiny planet, can you make that slower? It’s not smooth it’s very abrupt. Would you add a key frame zooming out a little then add the tiny planet key frame? Or would you keep it as it is and do some speed ramping or slowing down in Final Cut Pro X later?
yes,you can speed rapm the transition between keyframes by clicking on the line between kayframes and selecting the curve U want, it can go slower to faster, faster to slower, slower to faster to slower and the other way

Studio can only edit 1 shot at a time. You need to export the shots and drag and drop them into another video editor

Every person explains this process the same way, and it is easy, but nobody explains how to put together several pieces of videos (segments) to create a large or complete video. Edit each part is understandable. I have ten segments of 20 to 80 seconds each. How do I make a video with all those parts using the Insta360 Studio 2022?

No, they are all separate videios which you will need to stich together in a normal video editor where you can add music and other transition effects if required. Hope it helps.
Its completely differnt for me. And I've spend hours and hours exporting my clips thinking I'd figured it out but no I just have fikes that can't be opend no matter what even with second party apps

Yes use a third party video editor. I use premiere
