      Such a mature and healthy approach to problem solving is definitely worthy of admiration. Cheers to OP! You deserve all the flowers.

    I love how the story starts off with the op saying that Andrew was supportive but then there's all these different times that Andrew brushes things off or try to keep the peace and it's like really how was really supportive are you Andrew?

    Andrew should have did something about his parents and op should have stood up for herself

    It did take him a long time. He noticed when his family said something but not when his family ignored her

    If he can’t stand up for you and cut contact with them… divorce.

    She's just going to go ahead and avoid the topic of staying with a man who sits there and watches his family treat you like crap for years and years...😂

    I keep hearing about "family". People need to realize that when someone gets married, their spouse is part of the family, and both spouses should be the primary to.the other.

    Regardless of if this story is true or not, it’s refreshing to hear a story like this. It shows that people can change for the better.

    Great story! I dealt with the same issues with myself and my own Mother-In-Law,and I have a great partner in my husband, and now we couldn’t be closer, and I’m so grateful for that. Also my own father and my husband loathed each other as well and I always had his back too,but just like in my case with my MIL things changed,and by the time my father passed away in the spring of 2021 my husband had one of the closest relationships with him even closer than I did.

    Andrew was an idiot for far too long. It's good he finally stepped up. Let's hope he continues.

    Agree with OP on every single thing except for not taking her husband’s last name. That’s just weird. I wouldn’t marry a girl if she didn’t want my last name.

    Hun, 2 minutes in I can tell you you have a husband issue. You deserve better than that. Give them what they want and what you need, a divorce.

    Not taking his name was rude of her, to be honest. I'm traditional; you can hyphenate your name, I will refuse to use your maiden name when I address it.

    • @Kavyawoo1511
      @Kavyawoo1511 6 วันที่ผ่านมา +7

      It's her name. You should use it the way she wants it to be. You can be traditional, Orthodox, modern... No one cares. You don't get the right to address in the way you want.

    • @wendymartin6479
      @wendymartin6479 6 วันที่ผ่านมา +6

      Arabs are very traditional and they don't take their husband's last names. Many African women also don't change to the husband's name. Name is your tribe so your children know their lineage.
