this was an interesting look at Dwight Yoakam's beginnings. you can tell by the way he is looking at the band the song did not go as expected. I had to google for some information. Dwight met Peter Anderson in 1981 and in 1984 they came up with an independent record release. around 1986 they started getting some attention. so this recording is from when nobody knew who he was. sounds like a pretty small hall judging by the applause.

I love Dwight yoakam and I love Patsy Cline. his version is pretty good but I don't think anybody does it as good as Patsy. just like I don't think anybody does guitars Cadillacs as good as dwight

Yeah. I expected better. I didn't think it was that bad until he started singing. Doesn't hold a candle to Patsy Cline. Nothing against the guy either, but this is not his best work.
