Brilliant series, using this guide to build a small garden office 8x8. Did you create a plan of the room using software? Just struggling at the start now and how to best prep for materials needed also will you be wrapping up the series with a approx budget on it? Great material keep them coming cheers. 👍
Hi Lee, I just made it up, no software. I had an idea of the size I wanted based on several factors: 1. The space left on either side between the existing flower beds (roughly (1m). 2. I wanted internal measurement front to back to be exactly 2.4m so it would take 1 whole plasterboard. 3. I knew it needed to come in at no more than 2.5m high. 4. Also I had to convince the mrs 😂 So based on these measurements I just kind of worked backwards and figured out what I needed. I will be putting out a material and price list when I finish the next couple of videos
@@thediyfix good man that's how I normally do it 😂 had approval from the Mrs so will be full speed ahead once I prep the materials required. Thank you for the reply much appreciated 👍
Do you need to use a damp proof course underneath the rubber to prevent any potential damp throughout the winter? I can imagine after a few years the rubber might start to crack?

Used this flooring in my garage and then transplanted it into my sons new house as well. Makes a lovely finish for a gym. Great job Carl.
Thanks David

Very tidy job, flooring looks great. Where did you get it from?
Cheers mate, the flooring was this stuff here: amzn.to/45C50Qt
This is for UK only.

There is a DPM under the floor between the timber and concrete slab
@thediyfix ye but if you are in a typical garage mate, I'm not trying to be a know it all, I'm genuinely asking because I'm laying a floor now.
How’s the gym going
Yeah it’s going great Johnathan
