I have a Jack Hughes out of 5 from mvp and the market is like ‘whatever’. Also a Bobrovsky out of 5 - the black script for both.

Will absolutely look for the price drop. I'm going for a complete 2022-2023 base set and it is fun to open packs when the set is new before mopping up the singles after.

if I ever do buy any boxes of this, it will be one it’s like half price going for like 60 bucks a box. I could justify two or three boxes at that point. But will probably just get the singles of the rookies I want.

Definitely a waiter. I got a box of 20-21 Extended a couple months ago for $30 and it was a fun rip, definitely wouldnt have paid more than that for it though

Tyler Tucker is actually quite a good defence man, he fit into the blues lineup very well and gave them that defensive defence man they so desperately needed, I expect to see him back on the blues for the full season next year.
My box was unreal 9 young guns with an exclusive 3 first round picks.
If extended was around 70$-80$ CAD a hobby box that would be a great product.. but sadly at 130$+ its to much for that kinda of a rookie crop.
Still cool to be able to get Acetate now in Extended
The fact UD put acetate young guns in here just shows they know this set isn’t needed and they shove those in there and try to sell a trash product.

I’m trying to complete 21-22 all series base but as far as 22-23 I don’t know that I wanna buy any extended. The inserts didn’t wow me at all and series 2 just came out like what, 2 months ago? Definite cash grab.

I feel like these are going to be under $40US in 2 years like 20/21 Extended is. Just totally underwhelming - throw in something of solid value for us to chase! Some kind of player worn jersey card or something at 1 per box - it will still only be a $2 card in most cases but at least it's something different.
Ugh! I feel terrible for the trees that ultimately became a 2022-23 UD Hockey Extended Series card.

Although it's a unnecessary product, there's still a lot of great cards in here. I watched 7 Case Breaks today and seen some really nice stuff. I prefer many of these inserts than Series 2. They added the Acetate cards to 22-23 as well which is pretty huge.
Judging by the cases I've seen opened so far, they didn't print a whole lot of this series. I think every case had a high gloss and a bunch of exclusives.
The box you opened was mediocre from what I've seen opened so far.

This is probably a 30 to 40 dollars a box in the U.S. U would think UD should be more creative for this set.

The retro cards do look cool, but yeah $140 a box? Who's looking at this checklist and thinking "I gotta jump on this right away, no matter what the cost!"

Adding on top, series 1 was an exciting product. Pretty much bought a case worth of and pulled the value I spent in cards. So many beniers, boldys and black and white yg canvas. You should do another series 1 break!

After last years pretty great set this is disappointing. Not like they could do much about the rookies but they just keep pumping out so much filler for the over $100 price point.
Jesusssss you don't even get 6 Young Guns anymore. I didn't pay close enough attention to the intro, having those 1st round things...ok fine, but not IN PLACE of young guns. $50 might still be too expensive for this product.

I was just thinking that if Upper Deck had some kind of redemption card for the first 30 draft picks of the next year's draft this product would be much more desirable to open. Not like base RCs but something along the lines of an insert card. Make them one per box too to draw more interest
