There are four kinds of error
1) ERROR OF OMISSIONS - this is a kind of error in which transactions are not recorded or partially recorded in The book of original entry...
There are two kinds of error of omissions
a) complete omissions - in this error transaction are not recorded. and trial balance doesn't affect due to this error.
b) partially omissions - in this error transaction are partially recorded in journal & trial balance affect due to this error.
2)ERROR OF COMMISSION - It is a kind of error in which wrong sum occour, wrong carry forward occur, wrong posting occur.
3) ERROR OF PRINCIPAL - It is a kind of error in which wrong accounting principles are followed.. and trial balance doesn't affect due to this error. E.g. Installation a/c Dr. To Cash A/c.
4) COMPENSATING ERROR - It is a kind of error in which we make second error to fix first error... E.g. wrong debit..
