100% thank for helping clearly clarify many perplexed words to all of us. Our consensus is a dazzling English teaching given to your video clip! Enjoy your Iceland vacation! thank you 🙏
Teacher Jennifer, Dazzling!😃 Thanks for giving such great incentives for English learners.🧡That's right!👍 This lesson isn't frivolous.👍 What a super helpful lesson!🔥 Thanks for sharing these awesome 21 words to impress natives.😃😎 You rock!🤩 Yes, Yes, Yes
Thank you for sharing this vocabulary lesson, Jennifer! Although I already knew all the words from this list, it was still very useful to hear how you pronounce them correctly, especially because there are no fix pronunciation rules in English. I have to admit that I wasn’t sure about the spelling of the verb “to acquiesce” nor about the pronunciation of the noun “itinerary”, though I perfectly knew its meaning. By the way, is it possible to say: “There is/was a consensus on/about the need to employ new strategies in order to achieve the desired outcome”? In other words, can “consensus” be followed by the prepositions “on” or “about” when it precedes a noun? Kind regards, Anna
Hello, Jennifer.😊 'Caveat' and 'acquiesce' were completely new to me. Cassette players are now redundant. My favorite one is 'streamline', which sounds so positive. JForrest English has significantly streamlined learning English. Dazzling!😘 That's right!(Far from frivolous)Thank you for your top-notch lesson❗😺🥳
Hi Jennifer, I'm from Argentina so I'm a Spanish speaker. The advanced words in English are very similar to Spanish. However, they differ in pronunciation because the Spanish language is phonetic. You pronounce the letters as you see them. I'll give you some examples. Alleviate/. Aliviar Frivolous/Frívolo Perplex / perplejo Nostalgia/Nostalgia Ominous/ Ominoso Consensus/ Consenso Itinerary/ Itinerario Agenda / Agenda Lucrative/ Lucrativo Contingency/ Contingencia Tangible/ Tangible Incentive/ Incentivo Metrics/Métrico Redundant/ Redundante Contradiction/ Contradición
Oh you are so right! Why are you glaring at me? (why are you looking at me in an angry way). I'm glaring at you because you made a glaring mistake. Haha!
Thanks for watching! "Glaring" means something very obvious that stands out, usually in a bad way. "Blatant" also means something obvious, but it often refers to something done openly and without shame, even if it's wrong 😁
In Portuguese, alleviate is aliviar, frivolous is frívolo, perplex is perplexar, nostalgia is nostalgia too (but the stress is in "gi"), acquiesce is aquiescer, consensus is consenso, itinerary is itinerário, agenda is agenda too (the stress is in "gen" too), lucrative is lucrativo, contingency is contingência, tangible is tangível, incentive is incentivo... There are uncountable words that are cognates between English and Portuguese (and Spanish). I think it happens because these words came from Latin.

Hi jenn, my fav word is glaring. So, when I add at, glaring at, it changes completely the meaning, right?
