Dude, you need to learn how to trim hooves. You are causing more issues than you are fixing. You can't trim them with a knife like that, you need to shape the hooves and get out all the gunk left in it or it will cause infections.
Not to mention trimming like this prevents you from noticing issues like cracks in the white line or holes caused by stones or injury.

I get that people are busy and all, but I always thought that if you're going to do something, do it right. This process does not benefit from trying to speed through it, quite the opposite

Lol every video has strikingly different reaction and it is so interesting to see. It seems like donkey hoof trimming is not as sophisticatedly done than horses. And these ppl probably use the donkeys for work not for racing or pleasure, so they probably are not going to spend a chunk of money on a horse farrier. To me, it seems like he knows what he is doing.
@@jjk4891 Actually the reason they do it fast is for the donkey’s comfort, most live stalk is handled quickly so they don’t stress them out. This is also why people sheer sheep super fast :)
You do realise you're meant to shape them properly and actually use the right tools to do it so they dint get a bad infection and have to get put to sleep

This was a donkey not a horse and I think its still done pretty much the same way even now, for donkeys. They wouldn’t do it on a horse or at least I don’t think they do.

One of these days he's going to cut right into something going in blind like that, like is it that difficult to clean the hoof before trimming it? The animal may not always be limping and there can easily be an infection brewing underneath all the dirt. There is the guy in Scotland who cares for cow hooves, there have been instances were he was shaving down the hoof and once he gets past the poo and a thin layer of the hoof there is a pocket of pus or even a rock. I can only imagine having an infection and having someone cut right into it.
