- TPW 3821 and a load for Morton buildings come off the NS Bloomington District and onto to the TPW Morton branch at Crandall Jct. then in scene 2 TPW 3821 with an empty from Morton buildings do the opposite at Crandall Junction. outside Morton, IL 11-16-14...crap video with the DSLR...
Still pics on my flickr

Interesting that they have the searchlight signals still standing in all four quadrants, even though the ex-Santa Fe track ends with just enough headroom for them to exit/enter the NS with a few cars as in this video. Per Google Street View they were still there as of 2023.
they're still there and operational. Still technically needed for interlocking and being such a rarely used line I doubt they will replace them as long as they still work anytime soon....
@MichaelSmithCHIHAWKSRULE Cool! Thanks for the info. I'll have to get down and check out the Peoria area rail action sometime.
I miss seeing those rail america TP&Ws
Much better looking scheme than G&W's, IMO.
why
its not profitable...only 2 customers...from TPW engineer says G&W would offer transloading at the TPW yard.
damit If this happens I will yell at the boss
how about northfolk southern do it for them?
austin seaton siren Wouldnt be profitable for NS nor would it make any business sense for them to do it.. they would have to tie down train do the switching delay the train by an hour or so making their crew run out of hours. and still the lack of business. Its inevitable the line will go. Im surprised it wasnt done awhile ago.
ok but will people start takeing stuff from it
